Yes, it is a bug. PezRadar stated that last night on reddit. More recently on reddit (~1hr ago), he said a fix went out.

dont even mention it man. i was looking forward to the ww changes because i was tired of using grief and the patch made it only possible to use grief.

Also have your played Poe? Last time I checked mirrors can be pretty rare for a casual player. Very similar to d2R in drop rates and rarity
Except when you are a person of influence that finds a bug and decides to publically exploit it instead of advocating for a fix it’s an issue.
He’s decided to exploit the bug for his own greed when he’s a person of high influence instead of setting an example.
That’s a problem

People are under the impression that the S GC’s are dropping too frequently. They don’t want them to be as common.
There is a reason why I chose Crystalized Omniscience as my example. And it’s because it’s not the rarest item in the game, it shares the same qualities as far as having to change your gear to fit requirements, minus enemy res, etc. I chose this example because the drop rate is about to get nerfed just like CO. It’s the closest thing to Deja Vu that we can ask for.
Are you saying that an S GC should be as rare as Tyreal’s Might? Because that is essentially what you are implying by saying casuals don’t have access to mirrors. You’re the only one exaggerating.
How rare and gate kept should this item be if your comparison is Mirror tier items? Putting it on the same level of mirrored items makes me even more convinced that people don’t want this item readily available. Instead, they want a guaranteed high rune payout which results in casual players not having access to it.
If the drop rate remains low, this doesn’t happen.
Let’s say they change the drop rates to being extremely rare, as they intended. Now we are in a position where elite groups already have their S GC in the bag and can further corner the market while destroying on all of the content. It’s a lose lose scenario unless the S GC’s are deleted. Each scenario leads to casuals not having access to it.
“Hey guys, come enjoy this new ladder. Nothing changed but the top players are even better now smiley face”
So disappointing, Blizzard let out another season with an exploit that ruined ranked competition. Now people who knew the exploit have a clear advantage over others that were oblivious, not because of skill, but because of a glitch.
Same happened with Diablo 3 with Demon Hunter Mark and Necromancer Frailty Curse that when used in conjunction did infinite damage to an area. This allowed players to get crazy paragon and reach gem update to ridiculous levels, both being PERMANENT power advantages. This could only be leveled up far after when they power creeped every one to reach those gem lvls
About D2R again, what is more crazy is that the same players that claim to be “purists” and to defend the core and legacy of the game were the first ones to jump ahead and grab how many charms they could before Blizzard patch.

It hasn’t even been 24 hours…why ruin a whole 4-6 month season and reward the cheaters? Just restart the ladder on Monday… It would suck, but sometimes you have to fix things right.

or maybe they messed up the coding during the most recent change about 2-3 days right before Season 2 start…
and they decided it best to start L2 start at 5pm PDT when they get off work
honestly whoever made that call, well they aren’t the most qualified to be making decisions for their position. release should always be at the start of a shift not the end

Atleast you guys are finding them…I didn’t realize you had to be ladder. Ive done so much work for nothing since I am not ladder.
