I see you’re beginning to take this all a bit personal. Even if JSP is shady, so are the vast majority of millionaire business practices. You talk about a discord, then get upset when I say the traffic will NEVER compare to JSP? What? LOL. You can donate to JSP… but how many people do you genuinely believe do it? 1 in every 20k people? 1 in 10?
It’s not an argument, it’s my opinion. FG can be purchased with $$$ and used to trade for in-game items. With that said, I don’t care for the site - or what happens to it - at all since I have no further need of it.
I would enjoy the schadenfreude resulting from it being shut down, however.
That’s fine, you don’t need to like the site… but at the end of the day, the site is a massive positive for the game. It’s a reliable trading hub with values on items, with a game that have no good way of trading.
I love d2jsp and you should learn to love it to.
That is also just perspective. Now, I admit, there is an ARMY of people who agree with you. That’s not my point. I really hope for a time, when everyone realizes they all have opinions, but it doesnt make them a fact.
I find jsp’ers to be a negative in my game trades, merely because i dont use it , and so they have truly just wasted my time, town portal , whatever, when the trade conversation finally gets to … “you jsp?”. But thats just me.
you can look at donor stars. Most people have none(never payed cash).
Accumulated wealth just inflates market values. In the early days gg items in the first couple days were 100’s, now a days, they can be 1k’s. Which means as a seller you get a reasonable amount of resources to work from, even if you started at 0, in a market with crashing values.
So instead of direct trades item for item, you could sell a ll insight on day 1, then use that same currency to purchase a good vmagi a few days later. Way better value per trade than an item swap.

Donor stars can be gotten with putting your FG back into the site… have a friend whos done that. Got stars and got into the “donor forum” without dropping any money. Price rise and fall all the time, first week, Shako was like 1500fg, now? Maybe 400? Prices always are going to drop… I sold a mediocre HoZ early on for like 700. A good one is worth 300 now. Item for item in-game trading is just bad, I’ve seen so many game of someone saying, some mid tier rune for like top end gear. People trading in game are usually quite delusional into how they inflate the price of their own item.

yea i understand you can get them without paying cash. But the main point was, anyone with 0 stars means they definitely didn’t pay cash. And if nay sayers actually saw how the majority have 0 stars, they’d stop saying it’s just buying gear. The majority put in time to earn up a little fg pile to work from.
And yea totally true. It’s harder to rip people off when there’s a search bar right above the threads they can check prices on.
@TheDankest Not quite. You might be able to buy FG, but it’s optional and obtainable without ever spending a dime. This is a legal loophole lots of communities exploit. It’s hard to prosecute, especially since FG existed BEFORE D2R.
Doesn’t that mean the “nay sayers” should kinda shut up? Because the vast majority of the site’s traders, don’t have a star. Because you’re right, the majority just hardcore nerded out for 20 years, constantly buying and selling on old D2.

They even fight against themselves with all this “ingame is long and harder to get a trade but…” and “it’s hard to get a fair deal cause people wanna rip you off to get most from their item but…”

That’s not what this is about though, you can dislike the site all you want, even think the guy who runs it is scummy… but at the end of the day, it’s not cheating or against any tos.
