The only one that you are tricking is yourself by mischaracterizing a group of people into a slippery slope logical fallacy.
The thing is it’s not a fallacy, the proof is already all over the forums which means this is a substantiated position.
There is proof all over the forum that some anti-ploot people want increased drop rates, consensual PvP, and defend botting, Several of these threads wete linked earlier with 400+ posts.
I do not extrapolate this to the group as a whole.
Either way quite a few people posted their thoughts/views on here and Blizzard will decide whether to implement an alternate (optional) loot system or not. If they do then everyone here will have to get used to it. All I ask is thorough testing be done checking the impact the additional loot system has on other elements of the game on top of if the system works or not. The back and forth is essentially pointless at this point.

Some people do not want what you want. As the poster above said, it is Blizzard’s game. Blizzard said today that they plan on evolving D2R. Buckle up. I think the ride will get bumpy for those with intolerance for change.

And where did you determine I was intolerant to changes? I’m against the changes that will turn this into another D3 which btw really screwed up the diablo franchise. And your right it’s blizzards property and they can do whatever they want, up to and including more harassment lawsuits, lose even more customers and employees. They have been making very poor decisions for many years now and it really wouldn’t surprise me if they end up completely ruining D2R as well.
They may improve D2R or they may make it worse. The fact is that D2R will evolve. Buckle up.
If they turn this into another D3 I’m definitely not buckling up, I will jump ship and won’t look back for D4. Elden Ring, Ragnarok, BoTW2 and Balders Gate 3 are also right around the corner.
All single player games ? Just a quick spoiler Elden Ring has so much QoL compared to the Souls , you’re in for a big surprise - you might want to maybe remove it from your list as well .
The game will change. They said the PTRs will be for testing balance changes and other features. PC has controllers and soon quick cast/new UI. There is speculation that the game option tab will be where you select the loot type.
Data mining even revealed part of this before they officially announced anything.
just imagine, they would change things to make it evolved. In the past when some asked for changes, the answer was, go play d3. Now when it should be changed later the answer for those who complain about changes would be go play old d2.
I am not totally against some changes like gems and runes of same type should not need more space than one slot or option for creating a game to allow or not going hostile. I am not for ploot, but some drop rates are bad for players who have not time to play 12hours a day or more.
QoL is great actually. But dumbing a game down to where any idiot and all the masses can play it and become legendary superheros is not. Btw Elden Ring & BG3 are confirmed multiplayer.
Yeah Enden Ring is actually a dumbed down version of the Souls series , that’s the surprise for you .

D2 is not a challenging game to play. You literally can out gear/out teleport the difficulty. Due to “infinite” scaling, D3 is far more challenging.
First day haedrigs gift ,farming gr 100. Second day farming gr 100-120. 2 days later farming gr 150. Game is done. Omegalul.
If you think that it takes four days to farm GR150 in D3, your D3 knowledge is lacking.
Season 19 was the first season where anyone in the entire world solo cleared GR150.
So you have slightly less than1900 paragon on your D3 characters. What is your top solo clear? Many of your character are equipping the new sets. Surely, you soloed GR 150 if it only takes 4 days to farm GR150. Which classes so I can look for your solo GR150 clear?

Never read a pro-ploot thread that didn’t devolve into wanting to play with strangers with zero risk, competition, or necessary awareness.
It always boils down to them fearing a missed loot drop because it may get “ninja looted”. As if that’s an applicable term in an ffa system.
Plooters have a mental block because they believe a ploot toggle won’t hurt the core game, which has been repeatedly proven false.
They also usually believe or push the delusion that the game is a remake and should be open to any and all of their modifications. Despite the fact that you can quote Blizzard directly on the “Classic gameplay, preserved.”
And lastly and possibly the most annoying of all, any announcement lacking definition, inevitably paired with “new changes”, is taken to suggest ploot is on its way.
The argument that Jimmy the plooter won’t complain for increased drop rates after his 30th solitary ploot potion drop from Baal is an asinine assumption and presumption made for only the most naive.
What sounds like a strawman to some is basic human psychology to others.
Yeah go ahead and give us a link that proves optional personal loot will actually hurt Diablo 2 Resurrected .

You’ll be waiting for a while. There are many pro/anti ploot threads out there with the evidence you seek. Since this is my 10,000th debate against plooters in D2 who just don’t get it; I’m not willing to type out the paragraphs long obvious.
