You have already proved why ploot is needed due to rampant controller use in public games (plus the other issues associated with auto-clickers, macro users, pickit cheats, breaking immersion, melee versus ranged, differential ping, etc…).
These things are implemented in Poe. Why the majority still plays solo? For some reason i hear everywhere that ploot and instanced loot supporters are the majority but for some reason still most player plays solo.
Blizz could also do a simple change to controller users. At login you need to decide what do you use and if you chose controller you need to play with console players.
Dont need to dumb down a game to to othher games level only cus you want it.
Thats why blizz just need to remove controller support or let the controller user play with console players. Problem solved. Oh but not for you. You still lack with reflexes.
Adding optional loot methods in themselves isn’t dumbing the game down. This is a misconception that many have and Diablo 3 helped fuel this misconception. I will clarify how things work regarding making a fully fledge loot system. This is the basic elements of the fully fledged loot system:
Creating distribution method (FFA, ploot, and instanced loot)
Creating loot tables (what items drop and the rate at which each item drops)
Total drop rate (minimum and maximum number of items dropped)
Some games have more than this. You look at the entire package when focusing on the loot distribution method when it at most makes up only 1/3rd (33%) of the overall loot system. Changing this one section won’t drastically alter anything without the other areas being poorly designed. This is where the PTR server(s) would catch said problems and the other elements could be adjusted to give the same numerical results but just has the game distribute loot.
The funny thing is that seperated real would have not affect you.
Every game has cheater. They dont change the game around cheaters in any game.
Melee is in higher risk than ranged. Higher risk higher reward. Bohooo sad story.
You hardware is your problem.
You dont need to clarify anything to me. I heard this story so many times on the forum
So why most player still play solo in Poe if there is there are all these things implemented?
There is a clear answer for this. Most people don’t know other people playing the game or only know a small number of people to play with. This making it so people play solo when they don’t have anyone to play with. Communities being toxic is a big factor on why people play solo. Want to discuss the many reasons people play solo now?
I tend to play solo in Diablo 2 when no one I know is online to play with. The reason being I don’t want to deal with people who aim to ruin the game for others. I distance myself from those that consider killing bosses that prevent progression a form of fun. If people ask I will help with runs in a game because I prefer to be nice in games rather than a toxic player that hurts another person’s experience.
Still the mobs hiting melee not ranged. Less risk less reward. Sad story.
Your hardware is your problem. Guess when you accept a job if you dont have car and you always late from the job your boss should understand your situation. Nope. Thats not how its working.
What a surprise when my friends are offline and i play public i almost never experience the problems you mention. And when its happens i dont think it as a problem cus most of the things are not problem but part of the game.
Toxicity is also a myth. It is just created word by oversensitive entitled players. Ppl just should try to be less snowflake. 2-3 years serving at the army would solve this problem.
Right so here is the thing about PoE multiplayer , it sucks i play the game since closed beta and it still sucks but not because of the personal loot .
What sucks about it is the visual clarity , it’s an absolute mess of a clown fiesta screen exploding fps dropping crap .
Meanwhile , playing solo is pretty good - why ? because nobody but you spams spells on the screen and you can actually see where you’re going .
Hope this clears up the confusion .
edit : D3 & D2 > PoE , when it comes to smooth multiplayer gameplay and visual clarity . All the way .
In my experience from the original Diablo (Diablo 1) and classic Diablo 2 (including the expansion) I have seen many people get followed from game to game getting PK’d because the person hunting them thought it would be funny to do so. After I stepped in and PK’d the person hunting that person the person who was PKing others cried about how it was bad practice for me to interfere. While your statement holds some weight in general cases it doesn’t hold water in a situational aspect. Serving in the military should have taught individuals to respect others and follow certain principles in life. Yes, The military strengthens most people mentally but it shouldn’t be used as a way to enable people to have a pure disregard of others. Imagine if that stance was allowed in real life situations. “Sorry that your friend was struck by a car but suck it up and carry on” would be a horrible way to handle this situation.
Also, I said Diablo 3 had a horrible implementation of instanced loot and shouldn’t be the deciding factor of that loot system.
