You do not need to play a video game. D2R is not oxygen that is required to sustain life.
The key question is what is the sweet spot for the drop rate. Too low and the game is unrewarding. Too high and one gets tbe drops raining from the sky criticism.
I think that people over-estimate the number of accounts running bots.
sure, there are bots, but itâs not nearly as bad as it was in LoD.
Also, i distinctly remember watching mrLlamasc doing some council runs live on twitch some time ago.
in ~1 hours he got 2 Ohm, 1 Lo and a bunch of other stuff, and he did it with a barb with mediocre gear at best, the only good item that he had was a Grief in PB.
and that was just one session, he got a ton of high runes by just farming the council in other streams as well.
is he maybe just super-lucky? well, possibly . but that shows that you donât need to bot to get enigma, and on average, if only 5% of the player base is just as lucky as he is, then plenty of people should have enigmas created the legitimate way.
Just for clarity, did you notice the same people who are against this in every other players8 thread added little of value? They mostly just called you a liar and bolster each other in their little echo chamber.
The one thing that was said by Zax is to remove drop bonuses outside the group, which is a good solution if the devs are hard against players8 in online games.
People only do this now because itâs been debated to death.
At this point the issue arises where no new perspective has been given that hasnât already been soundly defeated. Players8 online has been thoroughly dismantled as a terrible idea for numerous reasons in various other threads. So people just get annoyed with certain forum members inability to internalize the huge gaping holes in their arguments.
Thatâs exactly why nothing new is being added to the conversation, because the pro-/playersx crowd just wonât accept the inescapable fact that their idea is just plain bad for the game. Lumpus would know this if he actually read other threads concerning this topic.
But they will never admit it, so we will see another post in a week, with the same people and the same content.
âI want p8 because Iâm anti social and donât want to make an effort to find people to play with. The other people have an advantage because they do and thatâs not fair because I want LOOTZâ
These habitually asinine requests will die down once D4 is released, sometime in 2023 weâll be free of this repetitive whining.
At this point I believe this small group of individuals spamming the /playersx threads have surpassed the ugly amazon thread count. I sure hope they didnât complain too much about having to read those, because oh the irony.
I am a professional gamer too for more than 17 years, I have friends online and in real life to play with me and I want the px command online.
If youâre against it, just donât use it, like sundered charms and terror zones, itâs optional.
Why donât you want px? what would that hurt your gameplay? itâs an optional feature, youâre not being forced to use it, and again, similar to terror zones.
Why would px be bad for most online players? Do you have any valid, adult arguments?
It is not an optional feature if it kills group play and doesnât leave public games to group and do content.
Same as TZ. They are pretty much mandatory if you want to compete.
Itâs very simple. If the most rewarding way to play a multiplayer game is with a meta build in p8 solo game without any other people because you SIMULATE them, then itâs no longer a multiplayer game and itâs obvious why this is bad.
So I canât wait for any adult arguments pro px. Until now, I only heard you donât want to play nice with others but have the same and more benefits.
I disagree. The discussion is typically civil with the exception of a few on both sides who mischaracterize, over-generalize, and resort to personal attacks.
I know that if poster x or y shows up, they will invariably resort to personal attacks of people who have discussed tbe topic in the past as well as new folks in the conversation that have divergent viewpoint.
I searched by username and the term âtrollâ and was appalled by how many times a few people name and shame a ton of forum members.
IMO adding /players X online is a lazy way to add increased difficulty, plus it would clash with actual players in the game. Thatâs why Iâd rather have a separate way to only increase the health, damage and density of monsters.
Bring on the Monster Power. Make carrying a Standard of Heroes boost monster health, damage and density. Then the number of players would work in addition to that.
The game has been out for 22 years, there are many vets wanting a harder challenge from the game. And yes there are those who just want /px solely for increased drops.
Or a new difficulty after hell where all monsters are lvl 90, have increased hp/damage/speed and all areas have high density of trash + boss packs. No increased loot, just more challenge and more mobs.
Meh, hell difficulty is pretty good as is. Itâs doable, but challenging to beat with suboptimal gear. If you were to add a new difficulty, it wouldnât be long before people started crying for buffs to builds and gear/ nerfs to monsters, because they canât breeze through their loot runs.
