I tried to log on 30 minutes ago and my lvl 89sorc was gone along with my pala and my mules. But not only that… you cant even connect to server. What Is going on ? I know for a fact that I did NOT delete my characters and thats a couple of days of gametime atleast so you should give something back !! And I don’t care if it will be my characters or my money but I demand answers.
They do server maintenance as mentioned
So I tried logging into today and my character is gone. Any idea on how to get it back?

I logged in and my chars where there but i couldnt start a game. I then restarted D2R and all chars were gone.

Same issue, and by the look of things, many people lost chars. What can we do to get them back ?

same issue. was getting lag spikes, restarted game and poof all char gone… hope there a resolution sooner than later…
Yeah, i left a game, and it was a black screen for a long time with the little d2r logo active in the bottom right corner. Once the game finally loaded the character screen, all my characters are gone.
Update: 0946, 09oct21, Central time. All characters are back. Try to play last used character, says its still in use on a server. Try to play a different character, says check internet connection.
Update: 1130, Everything is back to normal.
Update: 0756, 10oct21. Same problem again.
I am having the same issue and somewhat happy to hear its not just something on my end. I thought maybe I lost all my characters for good. sounds like a blizzard problem that they should fix

Shat is going on my characters were there last night? Same issue long black loading screen to a “fresh” game without my characters in offline or online modes
Same here, I was in the middle of a game. got disconnected. logged back in. Just like that all were gone.

Same problem for me and my buddy. REALLY hope they bring them back otherwise that might be it for me. Can’t trust a game that can’t even hold saves. Refund!
