I honestly dont like new charm mechanic to lower resistance to 95%. For very limited few is this huge buff eben with budget gear( poison necro, coldsorc) and its buff for everyone with exception of chars with magic damage.
Game didnt need to make overpowered builds to be stronger, but these charms achive that. End game builds with top gear who dominated will dominate even more.
Charms also do almost nothing to magic dmg builds and no, its not just hammerdin, its also bone necro,berserk barb, magic arrow, sanctuary… So while some already op builds are gaining like +40% dmg buffs, bone necro still cant kill high resist magic monsters and is getting practicaly nothing from this. It makes gap between some builds even higher.
I think this is terrible aproach to immunities and problem with them should be solved differently so every element in game can benefit from it equally. And also when they need it most, when you play game on hell with budget gear. Not mostly just ehen you have top equip.
It would be better to make general change that monsters can have only 75-95% max resist, then adjust certain skills so every character has a way to lower resistance for element they use. And of course balance dmg of skills accordingly so its not suvh power creep killing everything on p8 as now.

Melee or summon necro had one tiny advantage: they could do all areas.
Now, they are all dead. I would never play a barb now instead of a cold sorc.
Well barb is still best mf char tho, he doesnt care about physical or magic imunity because of berserk and physical skills. And with find item he is still number one best char for finding loot.
But people of course dont play their chars just because they are op.
But yeah cold sorc is in quite a good place now. If you find that charm tho. He will be very expensive.
Yes Blizzard, I agree with the feedback from the majority of players here:
The sundered charms, are a bad idea.
I think it’s very nice of you to take on the problem with the immune monsters - the issue has already been addressed here and here - but the Sundered Charms are the wrong way to go about it.
The main issue is Cold Mastery and Conviction.
A Monster that has 95% or 99% resistance is not a problem. That both skills take their full effect after the resistance has already been lowered, is.
Before, we had monsters whose cold resistance was greatly reduced by cold mastery and those whose resistance was so high that the immunity was not broken at all on the other side.
Now it is the case that the monsters are no longer immune and therefore always have resistances in the basement.
It would be better if the logic was as follows:
Apply resistance to base monster acording to dificulty
Add Bonuses from Bossmonster Enchantments
Is the Monster immun?
yes, then {
- apply maxima as suggest in the linked table based on number of players in that game
- apply (Conviction, Lower Resistance, Cold Mastery at 1/5 effect)
}
else {
- apply Conviction, Lower Resistance, Cold Mastery as usual
}
Apply Rainbow Facet and other items.

Solid idea how to deal with Cold mastery with Sundering. Make it 1/5 effective if monsters are immune without Sundering.
Nice touch!
So if I wear Sundering charm, my Cold mastery deals -150% pierce. If that monster was previously Immune, apply its res to 95% then -150/5 res from mastery. If the monster wasnt immune previously, apply -150% res.
Still cold sorc will be overpowered, but less so.
