My Sorc was LVL32 - Just 2 more Quests until Baal…Left the Lobby - Sorc was LVL17 and on the 2nd Act…
Same. They better be able to f*ing recover the data. Entire day of playing lost. Gonna refund if it’s not fixed.

Was level 20, finished most of Act 2, about to wrap it up, went through the portal back to the dungeon, and game crashed with reverting me back to level 13 and Act 1. Tried to research previous suggestions, none worked. Items, equipment, stash, quest progression, money, etc. all lost within a second. Will not be playing unless this is fixed.
I just beat Baal on Nightmare, got the splash screen, tried to go back into Nightmare because I wanted to do some cow level. My character rolled back to mid Act 3 and I lost everything. Hours of playtime wasted. This was online and solo.

I like how the only dev response to an issue remotely close to this in the last 24 hours is from 7 hours ago, and explicitly talks about offline characters only.
Looks like we have another Warcraft 3 refunded situation on our hands. Rolled back 2 acts in a multiplayer game whose framework has been the same for 20+ years and Blizzard still can’t get this right…
Dejected and unmotivated to make back that lost time and loot. I submitted my refund ticket as my time is more valuable than to entertain the thought of additional rollbacks wasting more of it.
Yup, same here. As many of you have said, this is completely unacceptable…I hope they find a way to rectify this situation. This is by far the worst kind of bug I’ve ever experience in a game, man wtf…
I was online and solo play, I remember I had a server DC hours back but nothing else. Then after beating Act 5 I got rolled back to Act 3, so my guess is after I had that DC nothing was saved on the server.
Same here. Spent the day beating the game solo on normal mode. Rolled back to lvl 19 in act 2 roughly 8 hours of progress lost
Same, what happened here, will it be restored or are we sh!t out of luck?

Same thing happened to me. Rolled all the way back to the beginning of Act 1.

its happening even in single player
I just experienced the exact same thing a couple of minutes ago and I’m so upset!! Almost at Andariel and I’m back to level 9!!! And I’ve lost all my waypoints after the Dark Wood. I can’t believe all the hours I put in today are just gone. Not a happy customer!
wtf… same happened to me just now. No crash, no end title screen. Simple Save&Exit and my character lost the last 8 hours of play time.
Same. Game exits unexpectly and gets update. After update, lose hours of progression.
Can blizzard get 1 thing right at a launch

Same with me and this is twice now. Both single player 2 different toons! The first time was yesterday and that toon lost 5 levels and the 2nd just now and I went from level 16 to level 6! Lost all progression including levels, items and gold as well as being pushed back to do those quests all over again. Very disheartening. 
I started with a friend today. We progressed into Act 2. Both of us were early to mid-20s. He disconnected and was forced to patch. He relogged as a level 4 and decided that was enough wasted time tonight. I did not disconnect and finished Act 3. I “saved and quit”, but I guess it didn’t save because I’m now level 8 in Act I.
This has happened to me. Have a 6 month old son so I’m afk a lot, took me the entire day to get from level 14 to level 20. Lost all that progress in a blink. Extremely frustrating with being a new parent my time is precious and I was relying on this game to help me relax not make my day worse.

They better have the data for our characters, but I’m expecting them not to. I’m pissed and I’ll re-play but I need to know if it’s going to happen again or not.
