You just can’t wake up someone who has no intention of awaking
Who is “the legal team” and where can I find a transcript of what exactly they said?
Which Blizzard employee said something and what did they say? Where can I find that blue post?
Who hired a lawyer? Who is the lawyer? What did that lawyer say? And where can I see what he said in writing or audio?
True I just don’t know why people are like this though, like is it really enjoyable to troll and be ignorant? I don’t get it. When you provide evidence they close their eyes and state they can’t see it.
Oh well the facts have been presented for those who want accurate information. D2jsp doesn’t violate the ToS as confirmed by Blizzard employees, the legal team and lawyers.
jsp and other RMTs probably account for some of the longevity of the title.
Improving gear or filling in gear gaps for a better play experience for a small cost when many hours have been invested in play makes sense to a lot of people, or the demand for the sites wouldn’t be there.
Honestly, there’s not much difference between botters and bitcoin miners. Both are using a stack of electricity to farm digital currency whose value is pretty closely related to the electricity it takes to mine the high runes, or the blockchain.
You mean a specific playerbase? I logged jsp a few times since 2015ish? Average 500-3k users online… max. Just checked again. ~7500 online.
You think a company that deals with several millions of players/subscribers really put their foot down to grab jsp for their own?
Absolutely Octave and if you were present for the RMAH you’d understand why.
Corporates buy out things they think they can monetise. IPs like WhatsApp are successful because of who they were bought out by more than what they were doing prior to that.
Blizzard cares what it can do from its userbase, not the userbase of the IP.
because to them, as long as they do not watch that link or that video, such evidence does not exist.
Do you know how Common ostrich would hide their head inside the sand when facing danger? It is the same existing behavior those people are doing.
I mean D2jsp has grown to the largest gaming and trading site. Millions of people have used it. The model has been successful and stood the test of time with the trust it built. Which is why Blizzard wanted to buy it. D2jsp is basically the official D2 site and Blizzard knew that and wanted to monetize D3 without competition. D2jsp couldn’t be bought and then Blizzard decided to try the RMAH.
Blizz should of tried to buy it sooner before it got too big.
Many folks do not like spending time trading. I just wish I would have thought of multi- game platform neutral currency first.
You realize the more you post about this, the more people learn about it and likely start using it right?
I only found out about jsp because someone posted griping about it… LOL Thanks a TON!
how do you ban a website that is running in legal capacity?
The only people who dont agree with this are mouthbreathers sitting on a mountain of FG, just waiting ever so patiently to ruin D2R’s first ladder.
The site can be an advatage yes… but thats no excuse to ignor it. (“Yeaaahhh, well, AinT NuthIn wE cAn Duu Bout iT, Hueehh.” Is not an excuse, its lazy and i dont see the point in posting such a responce)
Its a seperate part of the game, that has hogged the best in class items for a decade now.
(First week of ladder, find an enimga ft in game, when you find none, type in enigma into JsP, and have fun scrolling through 50 of them.) The site has driven up prices so high, that the only way to get those top top teir items is jsp. I dont want to be forced into a 3rd party website that takes my creditcard for fake money. i dont like it, and i dont see how people can act like its not a big deal. ohh… its because they use it.
Get rid of this crutch. This is diablo 2 ressurected, get that giant parasite off my game ? How can anyone disagreee with that?
INTHISTHREAD:
D3 noobs who want BOP items for ladder.

If you think blizzard could shut down d2jsp, it would have happened YEARS AGO. So you just think miraculously blizzard has just been postponing their legal team to go after d2jsp…? why? because some random cry baby on the forum is mad cause he might get a shako before another player who post it for astronomical amounts on a trade forum? YET THE SAME THING HAPPENS ON DISCORD???
Nothing they can do about the site, encourage everyone you see in the game to use this forum or in game trade.
Exactly right comatose because Blizzards objective is to maximise the number of people who buy the game.
Long terms players are only useful when there’s another game to sell. Ideally for Blizzard, people buy the game, play it through a couple of times then stop clogging up bandwidth.
You are not providing anything, you just share stories. He is asking you for citation or links to prove what you say. Why is it so hard to do that?
I am sorry but I do not own any fg, and I never use the site for trades, and I DONOT agree with this post.
Maybe. I’ve jumped in on it a few times over the years. Its just simply not a good platform for trading. If I wanna trade my Enigma for your WoW token… I’ll let you know. Hell, I’ll get you 1600 in 2s for a handful of Ber runes right now, yeah? And I’ll also let you know if you can buy my tals ammy in the first week of ladder with FG you botted for back in 2017.
It’s basically a third party hub for third party programs.
But yeah idk… Glad you guys are happy with such a format. Also glad that 95%+ of each games respective playerbase doesn’t even know jsp exists.
Gl and hf
Most people probably just play a game for 50-60 hours, consider it good value and move on. If you’re one of those players, it is pretty unlikely you’ll be on this forum. But those are the players Blizzard make their bucks from and why not? $50 for a couple of weeks entertainment is good value.
I think that’s why Blizzard release so few updates and patches aside from those associated with producing new sales. Why would they?
JSP almost have zero effect on supply in demand. What prices? Any 3rd party trading would have a mostly neutral effect on this. I have zero FG but your economics is wonky. It is the game that sets rarity, and players farming that increase supply, and players want items are the demand. All that means as as more farm some items devalue more than others. Runes disappear as they are used as a consumable resource making them devalue slower. As for a ladder I can see how amassing FG leads to an advantage but that was not your main point. Economics is value set by players not by JSP. The perceived value of a vehicle like fg would be effected by the games supply and demand too, not the other way around.
