Instead of asking to remove Stamina because it’s useless, why not give it a use/purpose

Make it tied to physical attacks

That way you create a sink for stamina

And you give a perk for having stamina

Also when you have no more stamina it cost twice as much mana

And when you don’t have mana it cost twice as much stamina

Melee and bow is now way better by having a damage boost and a mana burn/mana deficiency mitigation, he sacrifices power to compensate

Example values: you have 1200/2000 stamina left, if the ratio is 1:10, you get 120% increased physical damage with attack

Vigor now becomes a nice aura, Harmony because interesting

Increased stamina skill on barb now also becomes a source of dmg and ressource

Now sources of stamina and slower stamina drain become interesting attacker choices like Eld rune, Vidala boots, charms

To be clear, the stamina cost isn’t an extra cost for attack, it’s just a payment to access the Damage bonus

Physical attacks need unilateral buffs that aren’t tied to more stat sinks.

making an already too complex for the devs (apparently) to be able to do any real balance dps system more complex is not the answer.

Stamina has use. It gives you something to worry about in the lower levels rather than running and smacking things.

i recently played through a conversion\thorns paladin though normal and nightmare and he was actually running out of stamina all the way through - he just kites a lot.

as for your stamina potion argument… i don’t get it… what does it disagree with? it’s a potion that restores stamina, that you have to pick up or buy…

i admire your idea to invent a system, but there are just so many other changes that can be made to it.

Dude, do you dream up new systems and multiple mechanics daily? There is only so much they are going to do in one patch. Let’s tackle basics and qol first. Even on Reddit, it seemed people got tired of you. This isn’t some crazy mod, it is the official live game.

While they can tackle balancing, qol such as stacking tab and such, endgame content additions, etc, this is a remaster at the end of the day and not an entirely complete work up.

The original game had healthy modded version that allowed it to have a strong playerbase all those years and they have spit on them for what? Because they wanted to do it themself with weak sauce patch like 2.4

Except that they DO allow modding. Doesn’t median xl have a D2R version now? Look at Nexus mods, there are a ton of mods. No simple plugy mod yet, but it’s still early. Technically, many of the legacy mods like pd2 are not allowed. Blizzard just chose to ignore them due to the age of the game.

I love the Idea that Weapon Attack cost Stamina instead of Mana like Normal Attack/Whirlwind but Running should not cost Stamina in a Hack and Slay Game or decreases Stamina Cost for Running much. The Walking Speed with no great Gear is so boring and bad. ^^

Tying it to physical attacks would mean that casters would still be far superior to melee and physical bow builds.

How so?

You just added extra free damage to attack build in exchange of being able to manage your stamina properly

I disagree there, it can add believability and flavour to play style

Expend all your physical energy reserves and you’ll be tired and slower

But adding a bonus for being able to manage this would be a great empowerment and carrot for this kind of system

Cuz for now it’s just a drawback system

Castors don’t have to swing a weapon so they are better off. Meaning for castors stamina is useless yet again.

What do you mean castors don’t swing their weapon around… they constantly swing their flat tails around to build dams

Also, if you can make 50% of builds use stamina… then it’s freaking +50% more than 0%

As for presented ideas (to be on topic): they are boring this time. Can you please make something more stupid, they’re kinda funny sometimes :slightly_smiling_face:
