Immunes only on Elites and Uniques

Really, just allow -res to pierce immunes at the same 1/5th effect, like how the bug was at launch of D2R. This would bring greater use to many of the items, including non perfect facets. As part of the new runewords, have -res for whatever elements have the least itemization with -res to that particular element, and keep in mind down the line for buffing unique/set items.

Some might argue about cold sorcs needing nerfed with this due to cold mastery, but it would be fine due to cold immune monsters having the highest resists already.

Immunities are essential to the balance of the game.

You’re full on noob and only know what you’ve heard. Immunities slow down casters intentionally. Casters that fly through normal and nightmare. Melee/physical damage is slow in normal and nightmare but is unstoppable in hell.

And multiple mechanics could do the same thing without being an horrible mechanic that prevents you from damaging monsters

For example having resists capped at 99% would achieve the exact same effect on slowing steamroll builds

It works perfectly the way it is. Learn a better way to make casters. It’s not going to be changed.
