Immunes only on Elites and Uniques

Maybe if you have best in slot gear farmed by caster builds (but they have Infinity at this point so no immunity problem lol) and still most people agree melee is much worse overall. Try playing Zealer from 0 to hell. You’ll hit a wall and switch to caster build.

D2 is definitely not balanced. Sorceress is the fastest speedrun class so I don’t know what slow down you talk about. Even with immunities casters are best so it just added annoying gameplay of skipping mobs instead of fighting them.

Spamming 1 skill from a distance caster logic doesn’t work with melee. To be successful with melee requires a higher cognitive function than with a caster i.e., it’s not the character, but the person playing the character. Melee paladins can kill anything and everything in hell with weak gear rather easily. Casters can’t.

Yeah it’s very nice to be able to talk about how we see ways the game can become better without having people drenched in nostalgia attack and insult us for doing so haha

Cool to see a streamer on the forums checking out this part of community! It’s all just ideas and brainstorming. I admit I was more on purists side when D2R released but I can see my mind changing on some things after playing for a while.

I don’t know if my ideas break the game or not so it’s good to have other people think about it. At the end it’s up to the devs what they do with the game and we can just pray they do a good job.

I’ve heard a bunch of bad things about D2R and discord. The worst was admins banning people who stand against real money trades and websites.

But that’s the kind of phenomenon that happens when you don’t actively improve the game, people that want a better game just leave because nothing is done, leaving a high concentration of purists whom identity is the game

Haha, anyone with a brain would search my posts and see the exact opposite. I am 100% pro improvements to D2R. Key word there, D2R. What I am not, is what you are, DGS. “Different Game Syndrome” a quick search to any of your zillion threads and posts confirm this.

Thankfully the devs do not listen to you. I truly hope they allow mod support one day and you can scurry off to your fantasy world and play the different game that you desperately want.

And yet would you have said the same in 1.09 if somebody pitched you the 1.10 changes?

Absolutely. A far cry from what you want. You want a different game entirely.

Personally I’d keep the immunities on all mobs…

Instead I’d:

  1. fix certain uniques and runewords granting Lower resist to fare better than a wand with lvl 3 Lower Resist charges… ( currently act 3 normal wands (-31% al res) break 100 and 105 monsters but not 110 and higher. Lvl 3Lower Resist wands found on hell do -41% (which is up to 107 resists broken (theese should tackle 110 monsters) Medusa’s Gaze and Plague runeword should be at the cap of the skill (-70 or break up to -114 immunes) Medusa’s Gaze and Plague beeing end game items should work in conjunction with infinity ( regardless of a2 merc wielding infinity and player wields Medusa’s / plague orPlayer wielding Infinity and act 3/ 5 merc plague or act 3 merc wielding Medusa’s) the total negative should allow infinity and end game item with Lower Resist to break 130% immunes…
  2. tone down toughest fire immunes to not go over 130% except pit lords and champs rares & uniques)
  3. tone down stronger cold immunes by a freaking lot ( also the 130% cap with exceptons same as frie ones)
  4. fix the main problem behind high cold immunities:
    Cold mastery passive should either be extremely toned down or simply switched to buff cold damage, similarily to what other masteries do.
    toning down Cold masteries will also improove pvp, as there won’t be a stupid need to overcap cold resist so hilariously… it may still be an issue but to a lesser degree…

Pretty much. I mean I don’t even really touch the new 85 areas any more than any other areas. Fire Druid actually in a pretty good spot atm. Can take it pretty much anyway without immunity issues. Only issues it honestly faces is fire/physical immunes… which you just skip anyway. Only real problems with the build are Moon Lords (if you don’t have Infinity) and Wave 5 Baal being slow.

I mean it’s not amazing if you are one of those weird people that insist viable builds MUST be able to 2 minute clear P8 CS… but it can farm everywhere… (including CS) on P1 with no issues. Does it in a bit under 4m… which isn’t great… but if you like the build it’s not terrible.

Then the problem with using fire Druid as an example for immunity not being that bad is that you now have to make all skills dual element then

Snakes and ladders would be the exact same game play with out snakes as there is no strategy in that game. it would look different but the winner would still be who ever rolled the luckiest. also would it surprise you to know the game did not always have snakes and ladders it used to only have snakes. it was originally designed to teach kids about sin and leading a life with out it. the snakes represented the devil and sin and as there is no easy path to a pure life no ladder were in the game.
