never played runescape myself, as it was like the Minecraft of it’s day, but here’s an interesting pvp history vid.
I like to make games in my spare time… so this kinda stuff is always interesting.
PVP is very important to D2 and thats why i am play pvp in d2lod and i am dissapointed that vv is listening to llamma a lot, he is not speaking for the whole community.
The upcoming is good but it looks like good for PVM and PVP in D2r will be maybe dead soon.

It’s not. I personally find PvP a pointless excercise that brings the utter worst out in people regardless of the game… and yes it’s 100% pointless. If the game got wiped tomorrow (or was cancelled), it would account for nothing (to say nothing of the countless cheats now encountered in every game known to man). Because I dont cheat and it seems everyone else does, I tend to avoid PvP at all costs.

Even tho I’m an avid PvP player, I don’t care about PvP in Diablo 2 / in Hack & Slay games in general.

Nah if you targeting PvP minded D2 players asking them answer that question or targeting group of player that include both those who PvP minded and those who don’t give a damn about PvP and poll … what kind of results you expect to get? seriously.
To be objective with representation you have to check - a) person playing diablo b) casual or a lot c) do PvP in D2 or not d) only after those 3 question ask how important PvP in D2 … and after that generate table that will reflect overall demographic of pool and specifics to each polling class. Make sense?

Usually what happens when you make PVP so ingrained in the game, is that PVE gamers just don’t buy/play the game.

How’s the poll looking?
I mean it is the only end game… it’s got a lot of improving to do, but it currently can be fun and again… it’s the only real end game.
I never was really into pvp back in OG D2 and still have no desire for it. Having said that, imo pvp is pretty big and a good for this game. Not sure if people today though care about pvp in this style of game but the more options to have to play how you want the better.

D2 pvp is very fun and unique, I’ve played many games over the years and I’ve not found anything quite like it. It matters so much to me that how well pvp is handled in the coming patches will determine whether or not I’ll ever buy a game from blizz/activision again.
