The best swap weapons I have found/made/traded/been-gifted (as a melee character) in the game for dealing with immunities are Lawbringer, Azurewrath, Lightsabre, Grimmershred and Demons Arch (in no particular order)
I’m not certain, but I believe any character in game can equip any of these items for use on swap to deal with that 1 immune/immune-combo they struggle with.
Good god, you would turn this game into Diablo 3. Out with your evil, demons!
They need to be very careful, there have already been a lot of player buffs handed out since D2. Part of the enjoyment of playing D2 is that the game is not easy and requires solutions that aren’t just “get a higher item lvl from a linearly increasing area lvl to linearly increase your power against linearly increasing monster difficulty”.
That game exists and you can go play Diablo 3 right now all you want.
None of these break immunes. Again, why is infinity the only thing that breaks immunes but only lightning?
Just play a melee character with a reapers toll/lawbringer on swap and you won’t have to play around immunities. Or a necro, or a hammerdin, or a summoner… there are LOTS of options… just move away from a sorc/javazon.
It’s not difficult it’s stupid and annoying…
Example:
This guy has to cheese his way past the ancients on Hell just to get the right combo to match his build… this is why immunities are dumb… also, if the load outs of the ancients were static this would be impossible to accomplish.
You can say immunities are a good thing, I’m here to tell you they’re not… all they do is annoy the player. They are unbalanced because they make no sense, if enemies had high resistance, like 95%, it would make more sense than them to be completely 100%+ immune to any given element.
Because none of what you’re even saying is logical or reasonable at all. You keep dismissing the fact that immunties are absolutely obnoxious to the player and need to be removed entirely.
Case in point:
You wouldn’t be able to beat the ancients if these immunities were static, instead this guy wastes his time reloading this fight until he gets a weaker version of them with immunities that don’t completely block out his build from doing damage… this is absolutely stupid any way you look at it…
The guy literally cheeses his way through ancients just to get around them on Hell… my comment stands, they’re unbalanced nonsense… they should be removed.
Have you tried a gane that you dont find stupid and doesnt annoy you?
Perhaps you should. This one isnt changing for your individualistic taste.
All monsters should spawn with op’s dominant damage type immunity.
lol even physical and magic immunes.
lol seriously though, immunes are integral part of the game. so would have to be No
You not seeing the logic doesn’t make it not logical. It is very logical and reasonable.
I have! But I really like Diablo II, it’s just too bad so many people live in the past they can’t appreciate when intelligent decisions need to be made to better improve a game and it’s community. People like you hold back society… it’s just the way it’s always been. The meek shall inherit the earth and all that jazz.
I personally think that the immunes “problem” is their inability to make dual-spec viable. It is to a certain extent… but it could be better.
That’s what progressives have been saying for years. I’ve yet to figure out what exactly they are “progressing” to. Like my momma used to say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
If changes are made, every hell monster shall now be dual immune or better! Your welcome.
Make about half of them magic immune. While we’re at it make immunities unbreakable as well.
1 player = no immune affixes
2 - 4 players = 1 immune affix
4 - 8 players = 2 immune affixes
Include more magic immunes into the game as well.
Or
Instead of immunes, have monster resistance capped at 99 percent, anything over that is stacked res. The monsters are marked as resist whatever element.
Still challenging but not as oppressive as you do no damage at all.
All hell monsters have 1 million life or more! HR drop chances slightly decreased! Do eet!
I mean I like immunes… and honestly wish there were more immunes, and that all areas had at least one possible spawn for every immunity. This would stop things like AT Blizz Sorc Farming, and magic damage would be less OP.
I also play mostly solo, and online so I certainly wouldn’t care for that. I’d love to see dual damage type builds making a comeback.
At this point just run Furnace of pain to satiate you weird fetish and let people enjoy the game
That fact that you think that would be difficult is a pretty good reason why no one should pay any attention to your thoughts on this game lol.
