It’s funny to see limited processing power people come with arguments likes
“without immunities game would be steamrolled!”
“ immunities push you to make build decisions”
“Immunities make you choose farming routes”
“ immunities are a decision of the original devs 20 years ago”
First of all immunities is a decision of a single dev, 19years ago, when made 1.10 alone as a intended BROKEN PATCH to test mechanics for Diablo 3
Patch 1.10 was never meant to be a real patch
Also, it’s funny how people can’t use at least 2 brain cells and understand that there are other ways to achieve harder difficulty without being a wall like immunity is
For example super resistant monsters
Capping resistance to 99% and everything over is added as life
This keeps monsters killable with all damage type and it also keeps it more difficult to kill with the damage type the monster is resistant to
The game is meant to make you kill monsters… not to skip them because of some badly designed mechanics
The game is ment so you can make choices. use all charms or space to pick up items. what skills yo use. wher to farm with this skillz. what char.what merc. what gear. and more. All choices…
It`s a great design. Choices…
There is diablo3 and Diablo 4 coming soon specially made to cater to the type of player you are! If you didn’t figure out how to break immunities yet , just ask but don’t cry trying to change this game to a dog pile
Forcing players to dump most of their skill points into synergies to make 1 skill good has caused so many problems in the game. Some skills have way too many synergies to make them good, so a player doesn’t have enough points left to make several other skills good e.g. to deal with immunes
Diablo II vanilla didn’t have this issue. Skills shouldn’t have 3+ synergies, it’s too much and leads to poor diversity.
You are arguing against progress just for the sake of arguing, without offering anything of value in return - why not go and make a topic to argue for shared stash to be removed
The things that were in Diablo II vanilla are what made Diablo 3 bad? You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Why not just uninstall and go play the original LoD, since you hate any changes that can ever be made to the game, and your only reason for being here is to stop anything from being changed?
They ruined your game by putting in shared stash, fixing the manaburn bug, etc - go back to LoD
Yeah yeah manaburn bug fix and shared stash ruined your game, cry.
Your post history suggests you’re fully decked out in end game gear you bought from jsp. Buy end game gear then cry about quality of life improvements making the game more bearable to play 20 years after release lol
No one is forcing anyone to utilize synergies.
Like an entire character build, use of synergies is a user choice.
It’s a hard learned lesson.
I recall years ago putting all my eggs in one basket, only to realize I could do nothing to physically immune monsters, and would get wiped out by lightening and fire balls…
My character was so botched, and I had used all my respects…
I had to start a new character.
Hmm.
“Ok”, people can go the following build:
20 meteor, 20 fire mastery
20 blizzard, 20 cold mastery
20 chain lightning, 20 lightning mastery
And then be unable to kill anything.
Infinity sorceresses are popular for a reason, yes you can go a trash build that can’t kill anything “because nobody is forcing you to make a good character” but you’re literally arguing for something nobody who plays the game does.
Having 3-4 synergies for a skill adds nothing to the game and just kills build diversity.
Another example is vengeance having 4 random auras as their syngery - ridiculous.
1-2 synergies should be the maximum a skill needs, the synergies can be combined into less skills to give people more skill points to spend elsewhere
I’ve never played a sorc, so, I have no idea how to build a good one.
An online-friend has a bear sorc, and a zeal sorc (both of which were mentioned above)… they don’t seem to struggle at anything.
Vengeance, ya, I’ve never been able to make that work worth a dang… maybe because I wasn’t investing in 4 random synergies.
You’re thicker than you’re accusing me of being. Most people play alone online, not offline, where getting help is still an option.
You fail, not me. And even in Single player, there is still every other option I listed as far as finding ways around such situations. The only small catch is resetting the map entirely requires you to load in to a different difficulty or delete the map data manually. But even though the map is retained between Offline sessions, the monsters are still randomized each time you enter the game.
Your ignorance of all the available options to find one flaw that you aren’t even correct about in the argument shows how badly you’re grasping at straws to justify making the game easier, when it isn’t even that bad in the first place.
hardly slippery, it would push for more build diversity to allow players to seek out items in Nightmare to help them break immunities, and then push further in Hell to further improve their immunity breaking so their build can flourish. Solid idea.
