its always nice to meet an OG player, I started in .06 if I remember…Im old dude im almost 40. those were the good ol days. PVP out the roof, so many games on the list if you saw one and mistakenly refreshed it you would never find it again unless you knew the exact same game name, 200k players at any given time(on uswest for me).I was actually glad they made the remake despite ppl complaining about it.I still have a d2 lod accnt.but because I am older I barely play games,I cant play more than like an hour of D2R every few days before I get burnt out.I used to play D2 then LOD like 8 hours a day and even ditched school to play it.Its cool but all the OG players are basically gone.Its like a new age generation of d2 players which gets a little annoying.Theres like a small handful of players on here like you and me are.I could name 20ish people on here that are OG players that I get a long with and the rest I argue with.But…some I have argued with do have good points I do agree with, some changes could be done.
Mmm… Occy rings… It was fun running around with a sorc with 2x of them and an occy… Get hit by a blade of grass and you get teleported everywhere. 
Likewise, I started on patch 1.04 as a little kid. I love that they made D2R, and despite a few major gripes have really enjoyed it. Tons of care-bear changes and false advertising, but it does feel a bit more like OG classic, what with immunity stripped and a plethora of people with noobishness so massive that you wonder if they are putting on an act. The new graphics are great, and not being ‘temporarily restricted’ for the crime of creating/joining a game is nice.

nice my original discs are 1.00 or 1.0 Ill have to look again I have them on a book shelf in the original casings but I dont think I got online til .06, yeah one is 1.0, i have a few 1.03’s.Funny I looked cause I forgot i had a copy of ff7 with the typo on the back too on that book shelf along with a bunch of dreamcast games and other crap lol.I havent even look on that book shelf for years lol I just stuck it in the corner of my laundry room
Giving bnet the /players8 option would have only minor influence on botting. They’ll still be scripted for efficiency, which would mean a only a small portion of the bots would be off solo farming /players8. Additionally, current bots who are capable of solo farming /players8 can still do so in a single game by farming 8 different areas.
Dont worry, p8 on bnet will NEVER happened.

Following streamers around or playing alone together with randoms on the internet isn’t being social. Judging by the tenor of your post, you are vested in P2W.
The main reason they don’t add players command is that they would lose much more money than most casual players realize. This is because, especially on hardcore ladder, many people purchase additional accounts to run higher player counts. In fact, from what I understand, the #1 HC player bought 8 accounts to run players8 - I think his name is Alexander Backes or something like that. If they allowed people to just set players8 using a command people wouldn’t buy additional accounts with exception of maybe 1 for buff char like Barb for BO or sorc for Enchant and so on.
Pay to win and (In)Active-Buzzards bottom line is so far the only honest argument against /players.
The existence of /players8 has no impact whatsoever on players being or not being anti-social.

That is a different user, flaming like you are doing is against the Forum Code of Conduct. Laziness is what you P2W multiboxers are doing by simulating P8. Frankly, joining pubs, discords, streamers, assembling a friends list is a very low energy and boring task that no one should be proud of or argue to force upon others. The only people who seem proud of it are those who paid to avoid it, or have some sort of Stockholm syndrome with their streamer of choice.
At any rate P8 already exists through various wretched work-arounds and adding the command to bottle-net would only hurt the bottom lines of P2W RMT crowd. It would benefit people like me who bought exactly one license and average users. So far the only valid argument against implementing the /players command on bnet is that (in)Active-Buzzard will sell fewer game licenses to cheaters. If you or anyone else wants to play the game with your wallet, I don’t care. However, a simple feature like /players which already existed in the multiplayer mode which was advertised to be included and then deleted anyways should come to bnet rather than being paywalled. Discord and Twitch are a third party chore-like work-around solutions and wretched. Can you give a single argument why it should not be implemented? Nah, all you can do is flame and troll.
