Blizzard Sorc Now Sits on the Iron Throne

Its funny because I have advocated to have fhr reverted to before patch 2.4 and agree that many of the builds like fire druid, summon druid, etc are b tier and need a buff. To be fair sorc really only got a better nova and pally really only got foh improved which are actually fun builds to play pvm.

You guys are honestly something else tho. I’ll repeat it 1 more time maybe it will sink in.

Ita PTR and values could change. Maybe they could tweak res values. Maybe make infinity or lower res work at 1/5 to efficiency on sunder monster’s. Maybe not at all and only facets who knows. Its PTR

You’re right its a PTR but it goes to show their way of THINKING if it makes it into the PTR in the first place. Just as the grind to 99 wasn’t a glaring issue, the game’s immunity mechanic isn’t a glaring issue either. FHR, 2-H WW, PvP, NHD(No-Hit Delay), Poison Damage(how it’s treated) are all more glaring issues than 99 or Monster Immunity.

Besides, this new charm only exacerbates the discrepancy between Melee and Caster builds. Who in their right mind would go with a melee build now?

People don’t believe that blizzard will balance any of these values. The trust in the company is lost long time ago hence why everyone is losing their mind

They just want to leave their mark on a legendary game, they want to say we were a real part of it, they don’t care about the game itself or its fanbase.
It’s a shame, but if you want to make D2r a good extension of D2 and it’s feel, these are not the dev’s your looking for, move along.

I don’t follow you and watch your videos once in a while. From the vids I’ve seen all you’ve argued for was more buffs, even for the Paladin. You’re delusional if you don’t think paladins and sorcs got even more overpower in this patch, Jay Wilson is pretty accurate. The reason why some of the other characters seem under powered bid because of power creep of characters that didn’t need more buffs. From what I’ve seen you seen to be a big fan of giving everything a buff, that just escalates the problem. Sometimes a nerf is a good thing.

It’s not about tweaking the values, it’s why would you introduce a mechanic to the game that unbalances it rather than doing the easy fix of nerfiing hammers. They should save this charm for a patch where they can properly balance out immunities, synergies and monster difficulties. It should be an entire patch dedicated to that rather than what seems like a last minute idea that causes more problems than it fixes.

You’re utterly delusional if you think all that’s required here are a few ‘value tweaks’ or that this dev team is competent or has any idea what they’re doing. You know they’re doomed when they take balance lessons from the player base, or from you. Also, every single PTR so far has been delivered as is… so what are they drastically changing? Are they going to remove the charms? Because that’s the only way to fix this disaster. No, they won’t. They’re going to launch them with season 2.

Ah come on nearly everyone liked 2.4 which changed alot, but it didn’t break anything. Go and stream some mods or D3 if noone watches your cringy D2R videos anymore…

I like how this Twitch sperg thinks that simply tweaking certain values is all that is needed to make this patch less atrocious. No, clownunski. The only thing needed is a little thought in head with regards to game balance, which these devs consistently fail to do. The inclusion of these dogwater charms is something literally no one asked for and does nothing to solve any ‘issues’ people might have had with immunities (which is also laughable because this game is brain dead ez, so immunities were never a big deal if you have a functioning frontal lobe) How are people struggling with immunities this hard? This game is so abysmally easy. It’s going to be even easier now.

Since these Charms are unlikely to be removed, here are the top builds as I see them:

Nephalem Tier: Cold Sorceress(Blizzard, COUGH ES FROST NOVA COUGH), Hammerdin
S-Tier: Fire Sorceress, Lightning Sorceress, Javazon, Reaperwolf, Tesladin, Wind Druid
A-Tier: Frenzy Barbarian, Pit Zerker, Bone Necromancer, Summon Necromancer, Bowzon

Everything else is B-Tier or worse. I mean why make an Avenger or Vengeance Paladin anymore. Sad really…

I think its fine to even hate the changes I guess. But seriously go back to playing LOD if it upsets you guys that much. Cuz its 3 people circle jerking and liking each others hate forum posts about the patch notes.

Flagged as inappropriate, srsly, chill.
And you can also go install an mod if you want power creep. Also comes with charm inventory and other shenanigans, so you should like that.

You are very clearly in the minority, every poll I’ve seen has been overwhelmingly positive on these changes. Letting other builds besides lite damage be able to break immunes is a good thing. And LoD is still there, you can always play that.

so these grand charms are useless

Since level 99 should be easier.

That gives you 110 skill points total

1 - static
1 - telekinesis
1 - teleport
10 - cold mastery
20 - blizzard
20 - ice bolt
20 - glacial spike
20 - frozen orb
17 - ice blast

Pure cold sorc blizzard or orb should be able to mow through all content rapidly.

No need for infinity with cold mastery, so merc uses insight for mana regen, no point needed into warmth.

Project Diablo has all the changes you’re looking for.

Just installed PTR and started coldsorc. Lol. Just lol. Blasting through cold immunes like A1 normal monsters. Good job. Really great.

Make the charms lock the lowered resistance to 95%, with anything that normally lowers resistances not affecting it.
Problem solved?

And, add a charm that helps multi-dmg type builds in some way (and of course, you cant get the effect from both charms at the same time).
(as for the game getting easier with these changes; buff monsters. Heck, one of the effects of the charms could be that enemies gets an HP buff to compensate for the general power increase?)

I see you’re upset. My job beats yours, which is to say, I actually have one.

You kill those enemies 20 times slower : no point, is not efficient, just bypass them (like diablo 2 always for immunes? unless you have those few items you know).
So i don’t know what they could do, in any case, an item that enables a build element to be good sounds the same as always, be it a charm or whatever. It’s a matter of what the chances to drop are.
