I was also banned for “NO reason” couple of weeks ago and I know exactly how this “NO reason” is called.
Was a bit surprised but I accepted this and bought a new copy of the game.
So don’t whine man, they know for sure what you did wrong.

and with bots - yeah, bad wording.
He is claiming nobody is botting and is mad about the anti-botting threads. His claim for why he thinks bots don’t exist is the FG price of runes.
I don’t think jsp got him banned. I would wager something about automation of some sort.

Dude was obviously just one of the many botters that infest d2jsp. They got away with it so long thinking they were untouchable. Now that Blizzard has dropped the ban hammer, they’re crying.
They all float different excuses for why they were “wrongly” banned.
Not likely. His claim is he is using a VPN (so location changing) and using scripts to do QA work. QA tends to be repeated testing of set test routines.
He is basically saying he is automating repeated activity and masking a location for “work”.
Blizzard does not allow any automation of their games, including scripting/macros. It does not have to be a bot that someone downloaded.
I am with Warsong. Not that zebras don’t exist, but most of the time a horse is a horse.
That is what appeals are for though. It is between him and Blizzard.

When I worked in casinos we’d have guests that’d just help themselves to the buffet, even though they didn’t pay for it. They felt entitled because they had lost X dollars. Needless to say, we had security called quite often.
They were also usually regulars, they knew the buffet wasn’t free.
This guy listing his portfolio profile makes me think of those people. As if somehow that gives him a freebie. He could still be innocent, but that odd topic gave me a flashback.

Why would you put work stuff on your computer with video games? Does your work not give you a free laptop? If you freelance then why would you still put video games with work stuff?
Since you like to brag I would assume you can afford a separate gaming PC.

I don’t freelance, It was never an issue before. I played WoW over 10 years as I am lucky enough to have work that is paying good and giving me free time to play the stuff I like.
Why do I need a separate PC when a 64 GB Ram, 2080, i9 laptop can do it all and still allow me to take it places without unplugging anything?
The whole thread was me pissed about the ban without any information. For 20 years I only thought it’s joke such things happen and people lie, but I am now victim of the same thing and see all the laughs on me - people speculating, hating, typical Blizz forum folks.

best thing you can do is admit to it an laugh it off then either move on to something else or get another copy

They won’t go into the specifics on what triggered the ban, as this information could be used by cheaters to refine their hacks to make them undetectable. If you are innocent, hopefully the appeal process works for you.
