The removal of my ability to cast using my mouse scrolls has caused the game to become completely unplayable and ruined an otherwise great enjoyable experience for me.
I have played hardcore 15+ years and have been using scroll up and scroll down, now when I try to scroll I get nothing while I teleport into packs to die.
PLEASE FIX SKILL SCROLLING I WANT LEGACY FUNCTIONALITY NOT TO ASK FOR A REFUND.

I do not want to spend the next 2-3 days trying to relearn new binds so I dont accidentally kill my character until I accidentally slip into years on top of years of muscle memory and mental paths and accidentally kill myself a week later.
used scroll wheel upd/down the feature from from start of 2000 and now it was turned off. Why? What was the reason to make this change? Your Active skill feature? So do this way, that if I want to use scroll wheel, I will play in the legacy mode, where there is no active skills. If I need to choose between new feature active skills and scroll wheel - I will take scroll wheel.
Update a dev posted 5 hours ago that they are working on a hotfix patch, its blizzard so I hope it will be fast but… Suggest bumping threads on the regular in bugs report until fixed so it does not get pushed to the bottom of the pile of bugs.
So scrolling to switch skills isn’t working for you? Is it only on certain mice because I haven’t noticed a problem with it at all since the patch.
I was confused by this at first too. But, these reports are about binding single Skills to the mouse wheel. (Not scrolling through Previous and Next Skills).
In D2:LoD you could bind SINGLE Skills to Mouse Wheel Up and Mouse Wheel Down:
I’m guessing you could do this in D2:R too, before the latest Patch.
But now, you CANNOT bind SINGLE Skills to the Mouse Wheel (Up or Down) in D2:R:
Even though this does not affect me, I believe it should be fixed.
It really does not matter if you experience no problem. This person has the problem, and others do to. SO it needs fixed. If you have no problems, why are you in the forums and not playing? Do you really even play the game? Or just hang out here ready to contest anything some one else says?
The people reporting this bug WERE NOT clear on what the issue was. Some of us, including me, thought these people were saying “scrolling through Skills with the mouse wheel was not working”. Many of us always had the mouse wheel bound to Select Previous Skill and Select Next Skill. It did not dawn on us that some players might bind SINGLE Skills to the Mouse Wheel Up and Mouse Wheel Down.
I HAS been fixed, as I demonstrated above. So, there’s no reason to keep bumping this thread.
Because it helps Blizzard’s QA Team to know if EVERYONE is experiencing an issue or just SOME players are experiencing it.
