Now blizzard makes it “can not bind mouse wheel” WHY? Blizzard.
I really regret ATM that I bought d2r.

agreed terrible patch that broke the game for me.
I have spent last 24 hours trying to get an answer or recognition that they broke it but have only gotten infinite white knighting neckbeards saying they will fix it while quoting no one and no hope of a fix

Blizzard trying to take EA’s spot
This has made game unplayable for me as I have used this for the same skills for 15 years and there’s too much muscle memory built up. So I’m here browsing forums for the first time since like 2013.
Please let us know when a fix will be made

How and why would anyone think to remove this basic feature. PLEASE FIX IT ASAP. I want to be able to assign skills to scroll up and scroll down on the mouse. This worked perfectly before your latest “patch”. Now it says “cannot assign to mouse wheel” (or similar garbage) in the options menu. Whoever made this decision should be prevented from making further decisions. If this is not fixed, you’ve lost at least one customer “Blizzard”.
That’s ridiqulous! This was my main skill changer for 20 years…

Hi Blizzard dev team. I just wanted to give you my feedback. I really enjoyed the “quick cast skills” feature, however the fact that I cannot use my RMB to autocast my muscle memory engrained favorite skills such as Teleport on my pally is a deal breaker for me. I have to turn it off to be able to use a skill like teleport on my mouse button.

In D2:LoD you could bind SINGLE Skills to Mouse Wheel Up and Mouse Wheel Down:

I’m guessing you could do this in D2:R too, before the latest Patch.
But now, you CANNOT bind SINGLE Skills to the Mouse Wheel (Up or Down) in D2:R:

Even though this does not affect me, I believe it should be fixed.
Ever since this patch update, my mouse scroll is unavailable as a hotkey function. I use both scrolls up and down for two of my hotkeys on skills. Why is this removed? Fix this asap please.
Mate stop white knighting for something they very clearly broke, your not solving a problem or being useful your just making the problem worse for the rest of us and take longer.
pretty infuriating that I cant even post up the issue as I see it either because I need to grind a damn forum in order to link an image while mouse scroll still works for some people. I get red text telling me I cant bind abilities to it and the company the broke the functionality wont let me link the image
They patched it today and mouse wheel working again.

Issue has been fixed, now working.
SINGLE Skills CAN now be assigned to Mouse Wheel Up and Mouse Wheel Down !

Honestly posting bug reports and probably whoever tweeted at the developers got this fixed way faster than 20 threads in general that mostly ended with calling the developers incompetent.

That’s because it was a bug (not a suggestion for QoL ) and Blizzard even acknowledged it.
I am fully aware, hence why using the proper channels to report and issue likely resulted in a better response.
