Most likely some other app is causing incomplete download. Not sure what apps you are using.

same issue donā€™t have citrix, updated all drivers re installed the game, uninstalled battlenet reinstalled, disabled antivirus, scanned to repair, allowed through firewall. NOTHING WORKS activision send help pls

I donā€™t have citrix. Also disabled my firewall and antivirus too.

Have raised support ticket with Activision and created bug post. Will message if I get anywhere.

Same issue hereā€¦
Not having citrix.
I click on play, it changes to playing game and then it comes back on play.
the exe started I see in Proces monitor but stopped.
event viewer says ntdll.dll has error 0x0000005
Already tried older version of dll file tooā€¦

Iā€™m having the same issue since the 25GB patch for Season 3 started. Iā€™ve updated Windows 10, Iā€™ve uninstalled and installed back nvidia drivers, Iā€™ve uninstalled the game and launcher and re-installed them and nothingā€¦
When I click the Play button the game doesnā€™t launch.
In the Event Viewer appears as an Error:

Iā€™ve already tried everything and nothing worked. Activition, RavenSoftware, Blizzard or whoeverā€¦ should be on top of this issues and fix them ASAP!

Itā€™s not drivers issue, game is not downloading correctly because of some application.
One of the affected apps is Citrix Workspace. If you donā€™t have it then some other app is blocking it. Easiest fix would be to copy correctly downloaded game from your colleagueā€™s PC on Pendrive or hard disk :smiley:

I have the same problem on a clean windows install. Nothing more than bNet, and Warzone installed.

I copied from an external drive the whole game from my friend yesterday but it didnā€™t help. Still not working. Iā€™ve tried everything except downloading the whole game, avoiding it like fire.

Ok, my game got fixed.

Iā€™m not sure what resolved it but here are the things IĀ“ve tried. Hope it can help someone.

  1. I ran first a sfc /scannow

It found some issues and after a restart it found Windows Updates which I installed. However, the game was still not working.

  1. I uninstalled the Nvidia Drivers and tried with the windows 10 standard nvidia drivers. Did not work.

  2. Installed once again the Nvidia Drivers vs. 466.11
    Did not work.

  3. IĀ“ve read in the Activition page to update Synaptic from Razer. So I opened it and updated it, there was an update.

  4. Also read for those with COMODO Antivirus, which I do not have, but I do have the Firewall to go to: Settings > Advanced Protection > Miscellaneous > Donā€™t detect shellcode injections in these applications. Iā€™ve added the game folder ā€œCall of Duty Modern Warfareā€

I was already giving upā€¦ however, after few minutes I opened the launcher again and tried and IT WORKED!

Being honest I do not know when or to what stage of the things Iā€™ve tried got fixedā€¦ but now itā€™s working. Itā€™s opening once again. I was really frustrated but gladly got fixed. I even sent a ticket to the support team hopping for some help. Not needed any moreā€¦ but either wayā€¦ they never answer.

yes, once warzone is installed correctly you can install citrix back

Ok it worked by uninstalling Citrix and reinstalling Warzone now works. Such a stupid bug though.
