My friend has gifted me MW2 Vault Edition. I received the email and logged in and accepted the gift but I still have no option to install, only buy.
I’ve cleared my cache and it didn’t work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop app but this still hasn’t worked.
Could you please help me figure out why I can’t install??

I also have this issue. Was gifted the vault edition, claimed on account however it shows up the buy now button only. No option to install anything, also when i hit the button it says i own this but no option to install anywhere. Iv uninstalled battle net app, tried the beta client and still cant install the game

I have exactly the same issue - my friends gifted it to me - I claimed the gift but the game is nowhere to be seen in my account…
If I try & pre-purchase it tells me I already own it!
It can be seen in Gift Transaction history (Blizzard Account page) as well.
Also, I now have all Ghost skins for MW 2019 - which was part of the package but no copy of the game itself!
My Ticket is 2 days old…no response to this issue?
theres a post on the wow forums about this, someone has an issue, a blizzard customer support member have said they dont know why it wont work but sadly it just wont work but theyll forward it on… so in other words its a waiting game until they can figure it out which in all honesty is crap. cant they remove our “keys” and then issue us with a a new one to speed the process up?
Another person having this same issue. Was gifted the vault edition over 24 hours ago, opened a ticket about 24 hours ago. Done all the work-around ideas that everyone suggested and still nothing. This is pretty pathetic.
I’ve also been having this issue. I’ve tried updating, re-installing, installing from the .exe on the website, and about any other thing I could think of and still a no go. Was gifted it 2 days ago and still nothing. Ticket submitted 20 hours ago and also nothing on that front.
Hopefully this is resolved sooner rather than later.

I know that at least one Forum Support Agent has escalated the issue but I don’t know what has come of it, if anything.
MVPs are just other players with moldy text. I can’t check on it.
Been going through the exact same issue, immediately put in a Ticket 3 Days ago and haven’t heard from anyone since. I also had the person who Gifted me submit a ticket 3 Days ago and THEY got a response literally saying :
“We are not aware of any problem like this at the moment. So please ask your friend to contact us directly with a ticket from their account, with a screenshot of the error they are getting, and we can help further”
Which is exactly what’s been done already, there’s threads on threads and posts of this issue yet they’re not aware of it? Tried all the suggested methods, uninstall, clean install, Beta stuff etc and no fix.
Was anyone able to fix this problem?
Based on logging in from multiple computers/accounts and client application troubleshooting, the issue appears to follow the account.
Placed a ticket over 24 hours ago and still no response.

Gift recipient is reporting that it is working now with no action on his part.
Can confirm that without any more action on my part I am finally able to Install MW2
