This is an on-going problem with no care for resolution on Blizzards’ part. Extremely long wait times to create games and Most of those are unable to create. Thanks for ruining an awesome classic game.
Well I’d like to add my disappointment over the conditions of the european ladder servers. You wait in line for 10 minutes to create a game, play for 15 minutes and then the game crashes and disappears. Rinse and repeat.
I completely understand that such an old game won’t get new patches or upgrades. But Diablo 2 is still being sold, and because of that, it should be playable. That this has been dragging on for almost half a year is simply unacceptable and has stained the reputation of Blizzard.
When i convinced my friends to buy this classic I would have liked to be informed with a disclaimer in a giant font that it is UNPLAYABLE. Don’t trick them into giving you money for nothing.
He just forgot to mention that the “classic team” is either dead or fired…
Hi guys, this ladder I started playing on East but it’s extermly hard due to queues. Now it’s also happening on Europe. I confirm it’s only affecting ladder games. Do we know what the reason for these problems? Can Blizzard be more transparent about this what’s going on?
I think we should open tickets and spam under every single game they have and facebook and twitter, it usually gets the job done
I understand your anger @Qbat. I feel the same but this acctually introduce even more chaos into this and they’ll spend more time to dig out from our spam. However Blizzard could take some responsibility and at least be transparent what is going on, what kind of work still need to be done, whats ETA etc.
Maybe there’s some problem that we as a community could help. Someone propose crowd funding if Blizz don’t have enough money for this
Make the game that is created to not get permed immidiately but again after 5 minutes as it was before , this will fix the queues
fix the queues
Rumour has it that there was an exploit where duping was possible when games did not immediately perm. If that rumour is true, I prefer waiting in a queue than assisting shops to create dupes. I do not know what these shop owners do with the money that they defraud vulnerable people of.
As exploits are a means for malicious peeps to profit, I accept the queue as a means to impede malicious peeps.
Last I looked, there are queues on all four realms… Up to a 45 minute wait to create a game on US-East! Where is the support, Blizzard?
Europe ladder is 3000+ queue imposible to create games… blizz return my money…
also finding it impossible to create a game. I play d2 classic hc on europe. without being bale to create a game, there are almost never any games to join, so basically unplayable.
where is the Blue? hidding?
Queue is the new anti-Bots system. because it is not worth it anymore
The game is still hardly playable. Any news from Blizzard?
No, and unfortunately they are probably done responding to this thread. Their actions have made it pretty clear they don’t care about the player base of D2.
this is insane, class action lawsuit being pursued, friend purchases new game yesterday, what a horrible experience he is having, unacceptable, diablo 2 players are your diablo 4 players, you wont beat fortnite without us, we are the tastemakers, you are giving us a bad taste in our mouths, we will never forget, and surfing will b your teacher
They can’t be sued because of the queue problem. Battle.net is an optional way to play. The queue problem is not preventing you from playing the game single player.
I agree, as i was half expecting d3 to somewhat resemble d2 but i was Greatly dissappointed, i am praying d4 is more to the old style of d2, just better graphics n gameplay
From what I can grasp about this, in a broad scope the issue has two possible causes: 1) software bug or 2) not enough resources to cover the demand. The first one could easily be fixed by resetting the ladder and restoring the backups from a reliable source (I believe Blizzard is not like Sony on this).
Now, if the issue is resouces, Blizzard could come up with many alternatives to solve this. I play this game for over 20 years. If I were to pay $2 per month (multiply by all the keys in use) to have speed and reability I would gladly do so, and would solve (or at least alleviate) the resourcing issue.
In all my years of playing, this is the worst I have seen this game behave. The CHAT problem finally got fixed a little while ago, now this, Id rather be able to at least play, and NOT have chat. Maybe that is an option
Excellent. Pay to at least play. What I was saying earlier. At least one player said no to paying. Should be such a small amount to restore our game though
