This is ridiculous. As someone who moves countries fairly often because of work this inability to just provide a country code rather than a fixed country code we can’t edit has just completely shut me out of a game I paid for the founders pack for.
Grew up in the UK playing Wow. I am in Israel for years now, and they need me to prove residency? Let me submit my phone!

Yes same thing here, I cant play OW2 because of this. Like come on why would i need to verify a number in the first place?? Just work on your game properly so everything would be fine.

ok ok, I somehow made the Battle.net Account country/region change site thing work and submit my info. I used tunnel bear(VPN) to be in the US because that’s the region that my user is stuck at and when I used the VPN it loaded the next page after I pressed continue.
hope they fix this dumb problem and their company in its entirety

Same problem here. Made one ticket 5h ago, it disappeared. Looks like their Support has become useless after all. Removing my ticketsd #noreason only to change to neighbouring country… Paid for ow and won’t create a new acc just to play the 2. Hoping for a fix really soon. 8th ticket sent, all deleted (not archived, they just disappear after some time)
It is time to unite and take this to the court, I have paid for this game and they have stated they will allow me to play, i did not accept on any new terms that require me to spend days on support begging them to change region so i can TRY to verify through their indian outsourced sh8t fux9 these ni663rs this is just sad and stupid

Blizzard, are you kidding me? I bought the game and watchpoint pack, however I can’t play for almost 1 day and it seems to me that it’s only the beginning. Do you think that you don’t have to do anything bacause the game is F2P and you don’t have any obligations?
Same issue. I’m trying to submit a manual ticket but seems like Blizzard literally closed down their e-mail ticket system. Completely ridiculous.

I understand where you come from but as a gamer I have been the customer of almost every large gaming service provider from Blizzard to Ubisoft and I can assure you Valve is not any better with this. Yes, their automated systems work great, ie. getting a refund for a game is usually very quick on Steam (compared to currently this country change not working at all @ Blizzard) but overall it’s always the same with companies big enough. Stuff breaks and nobody takes the responsibility until it’s too late and there is a 50K Downvotes post on Reddit about how crappily a company handles things. What am I talking about, you ask? A small indie company that begins with Electronic and ends in Arts.

After a week of going back and forth, they eventually told me “buy a phone number from the region you have currently set your account to”. So not only did I pay for 40 bucks for the game, now Blizzard has the audacity to tell me that I need to buy a seperate phone number just for this game?! What other company does this?!!?
