If you have Citrix Workspace installed, delete it.
You can re install it later

No this is not working. Removing citrix doesn’t work for all users. I’ve confirmed this and as well checked with several people that removed citrix. same problem remains.

very likely due to a new game functionality to detect exploits/cheats.
Intercept X, HitmanPro.Alert, Citrix apps (and probably a ton of other AV/Anti-Exploit stuff) inject code into the ModernWarfare.exe which the game probably blocks as it thinks its being injected by some kind of cheat/hacking software.
Excluding ModernWarfare.exe from Exploit Mitigation in Sophos (Intercept X / HitmanPro.Alert) allows the game to launch again.

Played 1st 2 updates then after 25gig update I click play on battle net and my pc restarts. Does it every time now. Unfortuanetly I only have windows defender so I don’t think it’s my av…
I have the same issue, pressing play > playing… > play.
Checked windows event viewer and have seen similar entries as mentioned above.
All these AVs I don’t recognize or find on my pc. This is a pc from work, so probably they have some AV running I don’t know about…
Please activision fix this on your side by a hot fix update. Must be happening to a lot of people, right?

Same issue ! Tried to reinstall the game and still issue exist, now all of my setting went to the trash??
Same problem except I’m using Bitdefender. Added to exceptions, removed Citrix, repaired game, reinstalled, updated GPU drivers.
