Some acknowledgement on the issue would be nice. We have the biggest issue here which is not even launching the game.

Ive had same issue since Season 3 Update, Only fix for me was to remove Comodo which worked when i tested it, But obviously i installed Comodo again…and same crap!!!
No Citrix on my system, was Comodo…But NO WAY am i running my PC without an AV just to play this joke of a product…

Mine went down today… was working just fine after season 3 update up until a couple of hours ago. Now I just get the ‘playing game’ button only to get nothing.
FW already has exceptions, no Citrix, no sophos.
Guess that’s one way to force people to play Black Ops…

Last update did nothing. Still not able to lunch WZ after the small update. I did try everithing besides reinstaling the whole OS, which i will not doo. it's just stupid to have to jump so many hoops just to play a game. We shuldn't have to uninstall programs, disable AV's, change msconfig or registry files just to lunch a game... I'm done with trying. Will wait for a fix... If there won't be any i will just uninstall and play somthing that works.

I had this problem right after Season 3 released. Then a small update fixed it for me for 2 or 3 days. Then today I got on and had a small update, and ever since then my game wont launch! Ive tried every troubleshooting solution on the internet and nothing worked for me.

What? Could you explain what is your issue with the game? Are you able to launch it? I either could do not do an update, yet I cannot play it due the play -> playing now-> play problem since April 21. So an update happened in these days and my game never got it? Thanks for replying!
I currently have the issue with the “playing now” and going back to “play” without the game ever launching or anything. I’m just stating that a few days ago when the season dropped I had this same issue. But I reinstalled the game and it fixed it for me. I’ve been fine ever since then. Until today at noon when I got on and had a small update. And now I’m back to the same issue I had in the beginning. I’ve also tried reinstalling again twice. And nothing worked.

I’m having the same issue; just a typo error. You know; I was actually playing when the game asked me to quit for an update. I quit the game and then it gave me an error with a long thing with letters and numbers, then I ccouldn’t connect. Servers were down in all platafforms (PC; Xbox and Play Station) for many hours so I went to sleep. That was exactly on April 21 at around 02:00 a.m. New York Time. Then I woke up and the game started the update of Season 3. After the update was done, a 7 minutes file scanning happend and all okay. The I click on the Play Button and the issue occured. So I’m without playing since April 21. And my game never got any update! I will see if repairing of reinstalling, installs also the update and see what happens. If good, then I will come here and tell to the others.

i am having this same issue…
also having this issue.
this morning new 200mb mini update but I still have the same crashes. Activision, instead of focusing on operator skins and glow-in-the-dark weapons with ridiculous names, why don’t you fix this?

useless update nothing works it’s been days now only cold war is working
this worked for me:
- press Windows button, type msconfig
- disable all processes from citrix, apply
- restart computer and it worked
need someone to confirm this as i have no idea with computers and dont want to get trolled and my computer die
Had a couple of updates over last day thought we may have a fix, but obviously not as this is Activision.
They are too busy making some more guns that light up, and designing some more big butted bug eyed anime packs, Talk about getting your priorities in order.
If you are not actually playing the game (even through NO fault of your own) you dont matter to Activision, They already have enough people sucking up all the store packs to not even notice a small amount of us who CANNOT play the game!

So the problem is because the antivirus detect a shell code injection but i can’t disable my antivirus because my pc is from my work! So sad that i can’t play the game anymore.
By the way this problem is because they implemented anti cheat and still have cheaters in the game!
ran today’s update, no luck. Someone else was having this issue so I decided to try it on my pc just to see if it crashes because we have a very similar build. Except their video card is a lot better, RTX 2070 OC (4k monitor - 32GB Ram). So I’ve NEVER had this game installed until yesterday and it crashes just like theirs. This is the ONLY game both of us have with loading issues and doesn’t work. We can never get to main screen.

Make COD: modern warfare an exception in your windows defender. If it doesn’t work. Uninstall your antivirus then try launching the game again. It fixed mine last night. Good luck!
