I see other people having this problem with linux but is anyone having this problem on windows, I can’t figure a fix for the life of me
Yes i have same problem, on windows
Everybody talking about linux or proton
I have the same problem aswell
I’m on Linux but I didn’t use the proton 10 to fix to get my battle.net working again. I followed someone else’s suggestion of adding “old” to the beginning of the Agent.9124 folder. You could try renaming or removing the Agent.9124 folder yourself, maybe it would help. For me it was located in …/drive_c/ProgramData/Battle.net/Agent. I imagine it would be the same filepath on windows, maybe deleting or renaming it would fix it for you.
Hello,
I have Windows 10 and I have the same problem since this morning. It is a problem with the agent 9124, I saw in the logs that the agent has been updated this morning on my computer. Now it is 9124, before it was 9098.
In the logs there is this error with agent 9124 :
Checking Network Connection status to http:// eu.patch.battle .net :1119/agent
Network Connection Response to http:// eu.patch.battle .net:1119/agent - CURL error: 0, Status Code: 404
When I rename Agent.9124 folder and when I launch Battlenet then it is agent 9098 which is used and there is no error message.
And in the logs of Agent 9098 I can see that there is no connection error with http:// eu.patch.battle .net:1119/agent :
Checking Network Connection status to http:// eu.patch.battle .net:1119/agent
Request GET /agent
Response etc
I hope that this bug with agent 9124 will be solved quickly.
PS : unhappily when I tried everything to try to solve this problem, I uninstalled DI and I can’t install it because when I open Battlenet with Agent 9098 then agent 9124 is automatically installed and used/opened after ~1 min and there is an error when I try to download the game
Having this same issue on Windows 10. Managed to delete the Agent 9124, but it reinstalls when I launch Battlenet.
It seems that the same problem already occured and it would have been solved by Blizzard because it worked for users without doing anything more on their side :
Hello,
Now it works for me, I did something but as I did not try juste before, I don’t know if it works thanks to the manipulations that I made or not.
I share it here, perhaps that it may help you :
I can’t install, update, uninstall battle net,I’ve tried everything and it doesn’t work
This 100% worked for me just now. been getting the error for 2 days.
It worked for me, thank you
thank you brotha, just did this and it worked.
Yes same problem on windows. Haven’t found a solution
Having same issue, tried this
- Attempted to reinstall battlenet, could not do that, needed a friend to zip my files
- Used CCleaner to wipe all traces battlenet
- Disabled firewall while trying to reinstall
- Reset network and then tried to download off of a hotspot
- Wiped my registry clean of battlenet
- Added blizzard to exception list for firewall, check marked everything for private and public
- Ran security scans using few different softwares
- Update windows (mine is not activated though) on Windows 10
- Tried installing game on a new Admin user I made, same error ( BLZBNTBTS0000005C or BLZBNTBNA00000005 )
- Deleted all blizzard files in Program Files, AppData, and Temp folder
- Ran
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
-
Tried to install from power shell, like all other installs get’s stuck at 45% before crashing
-
Went into %ProgramData% Battle.net / Agent and renamed Agent.9124 to Agent.9098 but still nothing, when I relaunched battlenet it recreated the other folder so now I have both
Still no fix, please let me know if anyone finds solution
I have tried all of the things and NOTHING worked. Until this Resetting the WMI Repository fix. Not only does the launcher work again, I am able to finally update Diablo IV. Thank you YoHinomura!
Resetting VMI repository also worked for me
