Same here, honestly this is just really frustrating as all my friends play warzone and Im here struggling with a phone number. The tickets I sent got useless replies that kept saying: Try typing it in correctly or: instead of 123-456-7890 try +11234567890. None of that works.

Oh I see everyone with cricket gets blocked huh. Does blizzard have a thing against cricket? whatās the freaking problem?

Yeah, blizzard is a joke when it comes to gaming. Just because my phone number is from cricket I canāt play. I just spent 6 hours downloading warzone to not be able to play. What a joke to the gaming community.

If you want to play WARZONE or need to add a phone number to your BNET. THEN SWITCH TO A CONTRACT SERVICE - VERIZON, SPRINT, TMOBILE, AT&T

Itās a joke really, you cannot use any prepaid phone carriers on battle.net, I guess this is the best way for them to combat the bots, hackers. So Cricket, Boost, Virgin, etc. are a no go. Your best bet is if you know someone that has Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, or AT&T ask them to use their number.

its a shame that its been about a year and Blizzard is yet to fix this issue. If you dont have a postpaid phone number you cant play their free to play games? Really? ābest battle royale gameā my cheeks. This is exactly why companies like EA and Respawn are lightyears ahead of Activision/Blizzard. They clearly dont care about their playerbase

I have faced the same problem earlier but resolved it now.
Would I need a phone number on my account to play Overwatch, I know that I have to enter a phone number for Warzone and I dont know if it will be the same problem?
From July 2020 till June 2021ā¦ They still canāt fix itā¦

I mean this is complete BSā¦I have Cricket and my phone number works with every other service on the Planet. I have been playing Blizzard games since the Original Warcraft. I just assume they no longer want my money.

Just here to throw my hat on the flaming heap.
I donāt have a pre-paid phone, I use T-Mobile. The country on my account is correct. Iām certain the number is correct, and Iām still receiving this error. My subtle curiosity for this game is gone. I wonāt waste my time on Blizzard again.

I recommend setting up a Google Voice account and using that for your 2FA, or simply using a throwaway protonmail email for 2fa - using your actual phone number for authentication is exactly how I got SIM-swapped and lost access to accounts I had used for over a decade. Good luck.
