No one argues against that. And it was after saving Zul’jin too.
That’s likley true. The point is more, that Bwonsamdi claims to save all Trolls and keep them in The Other Side.
Amani when they die in Zul’Aman say also “I go to the Other Side.”
Edit: So it doesn’t have to be a “mistake” or anything. But an explanation, or something more, later on with him would be cool.

The Arbiter doesn’t send Trolls anywhere, Bwon snatches them all.
Or Zul’jin is the one soul Bwonsamdi mentions he had lost
An explanation is already gestured at within the narrative tho, but yeah I’m hoping 9.1 Covenant Campaign with Bwonsamdi continues where the Night Fae go rescue Zul’jin from Revendreth, or barter for his soul or something
“Yeah I lost Zul’jin and he’s a strong soul so uh, go get him plz”

He must miss some because we see Troll souls in other realms.
Where? I forreal haven’t seen any
I’m like 80% that I’ve seen one in Bastion but now I’m second guessing myself.

There’s absolutely some jungle trolls in Bastion, I can confirm.
Pretty sure Bwon only started snatching up as many trolls as possible when the Arbiter shenanigans happened, and all the souls in Bastion predate that, obviously.

where at? usually the souls don’t change in the hub and I’d like to check it out :V
Isn’t De Other Side its own pocket dimension outside of the Shadowlands? If so wouldn’t that put it outside the Arbiter’s jurisdiction, thus Bwonsamdi would need to be swiping all souls like he has been to keep them from the Maw?
They’re down in the first areas by the Aspirant’s Crucible. The races seem to be semi-randomized so it’s possible that none of them were trolls when you went through.

Hmm interesting.
Wonder if this is actually Canon though
And in the end, they all turn into blue humans. Ascension.
I too joined the Kyrian hoping someday I could turn into a blue person.
The Other Side Dungeon makes it quite clear that the way the system has worked until the system of death broke, Bwonsamdi wasn’t supposed to be taking souls directly to The Other Side, they still had to pass through the Arbiter and be judged if they belonged somewhere else. Revendreth and other penance realms, can over ride your end destination regardless of realm that most fits you if your soul needs to atone for enough sins first.
Perhaps. If they are going with this, it would be another retcon that I hate.
This wouldn’t be a retcon it would merely be Bwonsambdi leaving out, the normally boring paperwork part, and that the denizens of the Shadowlands haven’t really been prone to blab about the inner workings of their power, to mortals, for obvious reasons.

No. In Eevery bit of lore the only place for Trolls to hi after their death was to the Other Side. Aside from ghosts, or some minor exceptions like Krag’was priests.

Only knowing the mortal perspective doesn’t mean there wasn’t more going on than we knew. This would be an expansion of the Lore not a retcon.
No, this is incorrect. It has been stated multiple time for years that Bwonsamdi claims the souls of Trolls always and without exception. It is why Bwonsamdi is our “Spirit Healer” in Zandalar.

And you clearly haven’t been paying attention to Shadowlands. Being the Watcher of a people or area is a different role from being the Bearer of souls. Shadows Rising even has Bwonsambdi admitting that what he’s been doing to protect troll souls from being thrown in the Maw has been draining his power, meaning its something he can’t and hasn’t been always doing.
The other denizens of the shadowlands, especially the Kyrians wouldn’t be letting him whole sale steal troll souls for himself. Just because belief in him tilts your positive end realm to favor The Other Side doesn’t mean you don’t have to get processed through the system.
And he was one of the best things to come out of BfA because of it.
