some areas there seems to be no zone chat at all azuna is one of them, works in suramar
That’s a known bug. It’s not always constant, but certain zones will sometimes have their chat channels fail, preventing chat while out there. In some cases a server reset causes it to recover. Devs are working on it either way. Here’s a list of ones we’re currently aware of:
- Azshara
- Azsuna
- Azuremyst Isle/Exodar
- Borean Tundra
- Dragonblight
- Dreadscar Rift
- Highmountain
- Icecrown
- Mulgore
- Sholazar Basin
- Stormheim
- Tiristfal Glades
- Val’sharah
- Wintergrasp
Here’s also one we get reports of frequently but which isn’t a bug. The new phase of Undercity which low level undead characters spawn into doesn’t have the global chat channels of the normal phase. You can talk to Zidormi in Tirisfal to get back to the old phase with chat channels.
In general, if you find you have these issues, try a different zone, such as a capital city. If it works in the capital city, it’s a result of the bug and if it’s not in this list you can report it at the bug report forum. If you find you chat is broken in a capital city as well, you might want to talk with us for tech help.
