I’ll go ahead and join the list of people posting threads complaining about this event.
It’s ruining the game for me as a casual player on one of the fresh servers. The cities are uninhabitable. The auctioneers are all dead. Getting to class trainers even in places like Goldshire requires multiple corpse runs. It’s just straight up NOT FUN to the point of making it unpleasant to even bother trying to play.
I’ve been playing WoW since beta vanilla back in 2003, so I went through this event before. At the time, I had max level characters and so didn’t have to worry about 90% of the zombies being significantly higher level than me, and it was STILL an extraordinarily annoying event. But this time I’m on a fresh server, with a level 36. Doing anything that’s not way out in the wilds, far from where other players congregate, is nearly impossible.
I have enough to deal with in real life, I don’t need this mess in-game.
I’m done until the 13th. This event should never have been reimplemented as-is after the colossal failure that was its original implementation back in 2008. There should have been options to opt out, possibly even through newly added event-related abilities or items. Maybe take a bath in holy water or something and the zombies can’t hurt you. It doesn’t have to make sense. It just has to let players actually play the game instead of spend all of their time dead and frustrated.
I’ve leveled engineering 1-375 in the middle of ironforge just today. This event is so lax, you guys are crazy. One person killed the engineering trainer, he respawned in 5min.
It’s the lazy and entitled wrath babies crying just as they did in 2008.
It’s a one week event. If that’s so much you gotta cry and the forums about it for Blizzard to literally do nothing as this is a known timed event than maybe Classic just isn’t for you.
Buddy you’re playing Classic not Retail, all of these events took place back in the day and we are experiencing it exactly as it was before.
The event today is watered down compared to 2008 when every town and city was mass murdered by hordes of zombies and players actively forming groups to raise armies and take over capital cities.
If you don’t want to play Classic then go play Retail, you get no sympathy for not enjoying something that was part of the original game.
You are exaggerating like crazy. Come on man its not nearly as bad as you are describing. Stay out of stormwind but all the other cities are very chill with maybe a zombie every once in awhile. I’m on skyfury too and have had no issues with my lower than your level paladin.
You guys are full of it. You talk about whiners but your the people who say the opposite just to make people feel bad. Im trying to level and every quest hub I go to has mass amounts of zombies.
Blizzard gives us a chance to level new toons and even gives us a bonus to exp, then makes it damn hard to get/complete our quests. Im going for a record in the number of deaths today. 15 so far, 14 from zombies, last one from being chased by zombies into mobs I couldnt kill.
The zombie event is supposed to be dangerous and risky. That’s why it’s notorious. This is what happened in 2008 and it’s happening again. Try to see it for what it is - a unique event that will not happen again for years.
Sometimes, it’s fine to break the monotony of leveling/grinding to feel some sense of danger. It can add to the world and give a sense of impending doom for the coming expac.
I agree with you, but my solution was to log off and I won’t log back on until it’s done. All I was doing to get ready for wrath was making gold on the AH but since I can’t do that there’s really no point to log in for now lol
