The zombie prepatch event was actually one of the only reasons I was interested in trying WotLK Classic
(I’m not new but I wasn’t subscribed when it happened originally.)
They didn’t intend to.
They also didn’t intend to start the invasion yet either.
We need a server that has the zombie event 24/7 for a fun factor or something…

Nobody has said that but you. What i was referring to when i said that is people opting out of the event thinks that’s infringing on their fun.

I pointed this out because you were making your grandiose speech about history and making yourself look superior while unironicaly whining about this (regardless if it’s correct or not, it’s the principle of the matter; you being hypocritical in how you’re going about this).
Plus, the history back then is not all that different from today, considering WoW’s audience comprising a bunch of Nerds. And there were people who throw tantrums back in the past to where even Blizzard had to nerf or fix things. I’m fascinated on how that plague bug back in Vanilla has escaped you on the middle details and end.
You want to talk about history? Back in my day, games were often complete packages and not filled to the brim with MTX to the endth degree.

…Oh no, i agree that pre-order bonuses are poo-poo. I just don’t see how this ties into Zombie event, unless you’re referring to what i’ve assumed of OP: consistency.
Tokens i would imagine, they would always implement those in the Chinese version of Classic. (at least the last time i’ve heard, correct me if i’m wrong on that)
But Attunement skips are a new one, i’ve literally never heard of that being a possibility for shops in Classic.
…Wasn’t the Paid Character transfer in Vanilla? Yes, not in a shop icon, but it was debuted in 2006.
Going by the comments complaining about it being cancelled, yeah I agree.

Wrong forums, this isnt classic wrath forums. Also glad it did, the event was garbage and servers were under heavy strain.

oh… that’s unfortunate. I didn’t know that. I figured since it’s fresh something like that wouldn’t happen yikes.
That’s assuming they hired anyone new or moved anyone they did hire over to whatever team is managing Classic. They’re probably just hoping a skeleton crew can keep it afloat on the cheap so they can rake in the cash.

Literally every world PvP encounter is the same. I don’t see the problem.
It was a huge motivation for me. And now it’s gone, long before it was supposed to be. And it doesn’t look like they’re gonna bring it back.

Idk how to tell you this but the General Forums isn’t the “retail only” forums.
“I’m glad Blizzard dropped the ball on an event they committed to supporting. People having fun is bad and illegal and World of Warcraft should be about leaving me alone in peace to get gear and farm gold.”

This doesn’t somehow mean that the General Forums is exclusive to retail. It isn’t. Do I need to direct you to the blue post posted in the General Forums discussing classic Death Knights just a few days ago?
The General Forums is for all versions of WoW. Including classic.

No. There’s tons of people who play classic who read the General Forums
Well if you’re on a PvE Server, chances are huge that what you find fun is PvE related things like Raids, Questing, Dungeons, Auction Houses and so on.
He doesn’t seem to get this.
