Zombie Event Ended Early... Again

It’s all kind of weird. To be frank most people are content with #somechanges at this point. For example wrath classic is set on the last build of the expansion. this is different than the actual original game as class balance is different.

Also they are making Naxx harder than the original raid. Blizzard is thinking about buffing Ulduar gear as well. These are changes that are usually considered good. Especially the Ulduar ones because that’s the best tier in the expansion.

Having to change an event that is liked for one particular reason because players complain isn’t infringing on fun? Except it literally is. If I want pepperoni pizza while we’re out with friends, and we all agree except for one person who throws a tantrum if we don’t get something else, that is infringing even if they’re not doing it directly, it still is because a change needs to be made that affects all of us to satisfy them.

Replying to someone who wants to be snarky and act sanctimonious and tell them just how silly they are. I’m only on the forums because FFXIV is on maintenance for patch, tbh I don’t really care for Classic or Retail anymore. Blizzard lost me with TBCC being clearly rushed just so they could justify dropping prepatch on XIV’s 5.55 launch day on top of the level boost, and preorder bonuses that nobody asked for but they decided to do despite things like that being why we needed to have Classic in the first place. Don’t even get me started on the datamined stuff for the shop like attunement skips, token, etc that I still maintain would have seen the light of day if people didn’t datamine them and cause a bunch of people to immediately threaten to quit over it.

Classic players learned the first time with the shop icon appearing on the character select, screaming and Blizzard saying “No no no, it won’t be used, it’s a bug!” then announcing paid character transfers well ahead of schedule a week after that shop icon appeared.

Your mistake is in thinking that it had to do with complaints. It did not. Regardless of how much you enjoy unrestricted ganking of players who don’t want to play that childish game with you, others feel strongly that they do not.

Forced PvP is a great way to get a quick wave of unsubs. And considering how popular servers are full, this was unavoidable for people who didn’t want to be your victim.

Most people want to play the game. After having so much time wasted in queue, they had no interest in having the rest of their play session a loss intended to pander to a small fraction of the playerbase.

Probably for the best, otherwise I’m sure people would have cleared it within an hour of the server going up, at 70 in t6 lol.

I remember when wrath came out and guildies who hit 80 day 1 were already killing bosses in their levelling greens while I was still trying to level my rogue

“Waaaah how dare you PvP on a PvP realm???”

Weren’t people crying here maybe like 5 days ago about how they couldn’t level or take flight points, threatening to stop playing WoW if the zombie event continued?

i hate pvp, i hate when the AH/banks get disrupted. but you know what, for a short period, there was a zombie outbreak and it was fun as heck.

That isn’t what I said at all.

You literally just contradicted exactly what you just said in the preceding sentence.

For one week? Lol no. And “forced PvP” is already a thing. It’s called a PvP realm. I understand you forgot what those things are playing retail for so long.

Yeah. Like me. I want to play the game. I’ve been waiting months for this and Blizzard screws it up.

Sounds to me like everyone else (the majority) should threaten to quit if the zombie event doesn’t continue

One straw more placed enough times can crumple a laden pack animal.
That doesn’t make the individual piece that happened to have broken that threshold any more or less significant than those that were placed before, it’s just the one that broke the camel’s back.

Skyfury appears to have been locked for new players

If only classic had their very own forums to discuss issues that only affect them.

If only there was a forum where we could discuss all versions of WoW without people trying to unironically gatekeep

I only mentioned it because this is a classic only issue, so discussion a problem that isn’t happening on the retail branch would seem counter productive. I mean would it make sense for me to talk about issues I am having with SL on the classic forum?

Good thing I didn’t post on the “Retail Discussions Forum” and I posted on the General forums. You know… the forums where you can GENERALLY discuss WoW in GENERAL?

And yes, it wouldn’t make sense for you to discuss retail on the CLASSIC forums, bcuz those forums were made for discussing classic with the direct intent of excluding retail discussion. The General forums is not the retail equivalent.

Meh, not surprised it’s not working as intended, literally made a DK, got the mount then logged out and haven’t looked back since. Classic just isn’t fun to play for long periods time given how dates the content is.

They actually think Retail players care about their trivial issues in Classic WoW.

I think I would be fine if all of the people who liked these type of cluster-bleeps would quit. Take care.

I think the biggest problem with this event is that it FORCES people not only to participate, but into PVP as well, and they have no say in the matter.

The same thing happened during the SL prepatch event, to the point that I, and about half my guild, just, didn’t log on during SL prepatch because we couldn’t go to the major cities and do stuff without being griefed some.

RP? Nope, best do that out in the middle of no where can’t do it in town!
Wanna do other Prepatch stuff? Nope, gotta start out in the capitols to pick up the daisy chain starters!
Looking to vend some stuff on AH and maybe pick up some stuff? Sucks to be you, can’t do that either!

Yep, saw that tonight. Guess I’ll stick to Arugal alliance with all ~2000 others. Might be enough players to have fun.

The blue post about this was hilarious to read. So much cope, “these old events” worked 100% fine back in their day, because you actually hired decent devs instead of hiring people based on a checklist.
