Haven’t played in very long time…Im lvl 44 and was going to start AOE farming for XP ZF…Watched some vids… But the “Safe spaces” aint safe I can tell u that. I’ve died 10 times trying to hide in “reset” places.
First was the first wall u can jump on…well…mobs jump on wall now…
Second was the very first “reset” stones on ground…nope…follwed me rigth in between both…8 times.
“But since it’s feeling like I won’t be playing WOTLK Reforged”
-That’s fine. You can go play your sweden private server that, as you put it, runs laps around Blizzard.
I mostly agree. It’s just that Blizzard “fixes” problems in a way that hurt legitimate groups and players, especially lately, like normal groups having CC issues now, and lowbie players in dungeons dinging 1 level too high for mobs in a dungeon while clearing it and therefore no one gets exp.
But since it’s feeling like I won’t be playing WOTLK Reforged I’m kinda cheering for the exploit mages to find more exploit boosts/farms, and then cheering for Blizzard to “fix” them in the worst and most amateur ways imaginable, as every aspect of the game becomes increasingly broken and unplayable from a deadly combination of extremely novice/ignorant devs and completely undeterred mages.
It looks like the mobs teleport to you as soon as you go somewhere that would normally force them to evade reset.
I’m not sure if the pathing would still work if you got up there without evading them. As a paladin you could bubble to get up there or you can jump up there from the hill behind without evading them. I’m not sure how you’d find time to open graves doing it that way though. Or how you’d deal with the caster mobs if they followed you up there. Using ZF to level as mage/paladin seems to be a thing of the past now. A shame, it was quite fun when I did it on my mage a year ago.
It’s not an exploit if that’s how the game functions. It functioned that way by design. it wasn’t a bug, or a mistake. They MADE it that way. You’re flat out wrong. That would be like saying that interrupting spellcasts on mobs with an (insert interrupt here) is exploiting, making it easier to not die while killing things. That’d be a nope, the game was MADE that way.
They’re only changing it now (which is wasn’t changed in wotlk/tbc original iteration) because they don’t like how it LOOKS some 16 years later. People are more innovative with the acquired knowledge of the game. Classic only stays classic if they LEAVE IT THE WAY IT WAS. It’s not exploiting because it makes you feel icky.
On that same note as paragraph 1, should they change Mage’s ability to farm open world too, because other classes can’t slow massive amounts of mobs and AOE them down? Using YOUR logic, this is also exploiting…
Lastly, without even touching pathing, they destroyed Paladin’s ability to AOE farm as well in dungeons. Was this also exploiting, or being really strong and able to do it with the right items/build and using your abilities in the right way at the right moment?
