Zero reports of "motion sickness" on the beta

So you’re saying dragon riding is so cool and immersive it’s tricking people’s brains into thinking it’s real?

Damn blizz really knocked it out of the ballpark with dragon riding :star_struck:

… Warlords complaints for motion sickness did exist. A lot. But keep thinking this forum is where the entire population comes to with problems.

You’re acting so disrespectful and toxic it’s not even funny. Grow up.

Not even this. Not even with the abysmally low player counts comparatively to past iterations would this forum who consists of at best 20ish regular posters you immediately recognize be considered 1%. FFS Reddit is probably unironically more of a representation of WoW’s playerbase and I would struggle to say that’s even 1% unless we’re factoring in lurkers.

That’s a good point. I don’t see any motion sickness complaints on Reddit or any other forums. Localised mass hysteria?

Seriously it is… You need to be so lazer focused on what you are doing, your eyes are focused on the screen to the point it is total immersion, but it is a little too immersive.

I mean, I know the answer to this question. It’s part legitimate grievance, it’s also part bad actors from certain imageboards who kind of rally behind these kinds of things every expansion to signal boost something that really isn’t a huge problem just to see if Blizzard will respond to it for laughs.

The same imageboard also last year was collaborating on finding the most innocuous of things they could pretend to give a damn about, pitch a fit and rally behind to force Blizzard to make some really stupid decisions and well, let’s just say bowls of fruit was a result of this exact kind of campaigning and the initial complaint was a well thought out and elaborate joke that some people actually decided to take seriously due to the surrounding context and signal boosted that to the point it enacted a change that was widely ridiculed and Blizzard couldn’t just undo and had to live with.

Not all games are designed for those with disabilities as the core demographic, there is alot of disability additives already, get over it that there is a function in which u can operate but more poorly with certain disabilities. . Ppl will figure it out.

It’s almost as if 99% of the player base doesn’t play beta. Weird.

Because how much of the player base actually tested in Beta? And of those how many actually reported anything? And of those how many of those only reported via internal means and not public like the forums?

So yeah, we, as the player base, don’t know how many people are having issues with dragon riding and motion sickness.

Remember back when games used to have a warning label about flashing lights and motion and specifically advised you to NOT PLAY THE GAME if you suffered from epilepsy or motion sickness as to not aggravate those conditions?

Now people decide to ignore those immortal warnings and demand the games be designed to cater around them. Like if you’re lactose intolerant, don’t drink milk or get close to anything with lactose. Don’t gripe at the company and demand they cater around you.

No one is asking for it to be.

Ah, another one who can’t comprehend the easy fix and just wants to act disrespectful. :+1:

There are flight paths, you literally just have to unlock FP’s and never use dragon riding again except in some dungeons… How hard is it to figure out work arounds…

But instead your solution is you shouldnt have to play the new game mechanic and should get your own way because 2 solutions AFK and take FP and Dragonriding arent enough. Its not being rude it you thinking everyone should cater to you.

They don’t, but motion sickness isn’t uncommon in gaming and most game developers know what may trigger it in players. I know FPS games cause motion sickness for me, and so I stopped playing them. Other games that cause it for me that I want to play I try to find setting adjustments until I can play.

I think it would have been a good idea to have tip popup before starting your dragon riding to let people know where the motion sickness settings were located. Since motion sickness in games can be triggered by different things for different people to the point some people may not know they even can get it, and even more might not know there is even a setting to help with it.
