It was NOT a 3-day quest though. It started the evening on Tuesday after the patch and ended this morning at the 10 am reset. That’s approx 19 hours on Tuesday/Wednesday morning, 24 hours on Wednesday/Thursday morning. That’s a total of 43 hours. Not even a full 2 24 hour days. That’s NOT a 3-day quest. That’s a 2-day quest. Plan for it next time I guess, but not plan for a 3-day quest.
Honestly it’s “fill the bar” or miss out crap like this that’s driving me away from the game. I hated this garbage in Korthia and I hate it even more here because of the scarcity of options to fill it. In Korthia at least I could knock it out in half an hour. This takes quite a bit longer. It’s very clear the devs don’t care to respect my time, so I don’t respect their game.
How many people logged in today to finish up the last 5 or 10% of (what most probably thought was) a “weekly” quest? Meanwhile “Shaping Fate” remains at 51% on one of my alts. It never expires.
Yes definitely. That is quite a pile of crud that the progress doesn’t retain. Most likely due to the code for this quest being based on the covenant callings which do exactly this, stick around for three days then vanish regardless of your progress.
For those having trouble getting Patterns done quickly, a suggestion based on my experience is to accept the quest playing with portals and keep the quest until you’re complete your ZM work. While you retain the quest you can use that portal every 12 seconds to move to one of several locations (randomly chosen) on the map.
So I would portal, check for anything of value or note, pick it up (a good number of the treasures are gettable from the portal locations), or run to a nearby rare/boss. I had 94% complete on day 1 despite the latency, zerg of players, and a server crash.
I’m surprised they don’t let it carry over. They already designed it in a way that wastes people time. Could at least let people have their progress carry over.
they only missed one quest, which makes them 3 days behind. Upsetting and annoying? yes, but in the grand scheme of a wow patch its barley a blip on the radar in missed time
Progress reset. That’s asinine. Glad I pushed through and finished it on Wednesday. I almost logged off when I had it around 90 percent. I figured I would finish it another day. None of the rare mobs were spawning that I could reach in time before they died and I couldn’t find any chests.
The fact that your progress resets……seriously who the hell makes these decisions to implement that crap.
