So when are we going to get regular zeppelin rides back and not a goblin merchant waving his hands at me and teleporting me to Northrend by the power of profit?
This wasn’t in the original Wrath and the only reason why it’s in Classic Wrath is because Blizzard broke the zeppelins and so the teleportation was added as a bandage. Have you still not fixed the zeps yet? How long does it take?
If you’re going to leave the teleporters for the wrath zeps and boats you might as well add teleporters to all of the zeps and boats really… which would be silly.
Update as of November 16, 2022 the teleporters are still in the game.
It was there at launch for a bit on horde also it was also there for the entire beta for wrath I in og it’s one of the fine moment of captain placeholder. Or commador at the time they promoted him each time they used.
The song even talks of his wave. Thou in classic they dint use him again which is sad.
But yes I’m suprizes they haven’t got rid of good old capt p (or his gob version) this long after launch.
There is a massive diff between asking what’s up and Pointing out something needs to be fixed vs being upset.
I see nothing in the comments above that looks to be someone upset.
Mod he was having a man fit like we see in many threads I would agree with you but he made a polite threat asking about the zepps and pointing out it’s not fixed. If anything it’s a example of a good discussion thread.
Everyone in the forums has the idea ingrained in their mind that anytime anyone says anything that isn’t overtly positive about the game that they’re “upset, crying or angry”. Also “you should probably just quit the game if you bring up even the tiniest criticism!”
No. It should be fixed already. I don’t know how long it lasted in original wrath, honestly I guess I missed the first few weeks of Wrath bcuz I never knew they used goblin teleportation at all but I have fond memories of sitting on the zeppelins with other people and flying over to the new frozen frontier. I’m pretty sure they’re just using it as a stopgap and are going to fix it eventually… but I feel like it should be fixed already and things like this harm immersion. I love immersion.
Yes but what he is saying is currently you have a choice you can infact ride the zeppelins they do arrive and take off as scheduled, or you can just talk to the NPC.
It has no effect on most people as we portal back to the old world from Dalaran and hearth back to Dalaran once we are done.
It has the effect that no one uses them because the teleportation is faster. It has the effect that it makes the zeppelins pointless. It further has the effect that I feel stupid for using a zeppelin when I could just save time and have my pixels instantly transported from one of the map to the other. I don’t like having that option and that option was not in the original game. You would be saying the same thing if they replaced all the zeppelins and boats in the entire game with teleportation. Heck, just give you the option to teleport rather than waste time on a flight path. But hey! You can still use the flight path if YOU want to. Why are you mad that they keep changing the game and making everything more and more convenient? #morechanges bro!
Inb4 you give me the classic wow forumgoer brainless response of “So you want to control OTHER people huh?” No. I want them to get rid of a mechanic that is no longer necessary in the game. The massive crowds of people have already gone through the air boats. The teleporter is not needed anymore
This is not one of those things. This is a temporary change that they made bcuz the boats and air boats weren’t working. Me asking when it’s going to be changed back has nothing to do with your “#nochanges is for losers” politics.
This changes literally nothing. No one else is riding them with me so there’s no point in using them.
Turn off the NPC and people still wont be riding the zeppelins unless they have to we have a hub with portals everywhere we need and a 30 min hearthstone cooldown boats and zeppelins are now purely optional.
Yeah except all the people who are leveling for the first time and dont have 50 gold to give for someone to teleport them to dalaran and then corpse walk their way to a lvl 70 zone. And all the people leveling their alts. Or people who haven’t gotten to dalaran yet. Or people who are too far away from Dalaran and it would be actually faster for them to just take a zeppelin back to Orgrimmar rather than fly all the way to the floating city and take a portal to Org
