Zekvyr still Impossible on BM hunter

Doubtful.

I got this done TODAY on a 614 Ret Pally. Youtube videos on the fight made it possible.

So I dont see why BM cant do it.

I’ve been attempting to down him and it’s doable. Hard. But doable. I think I just need a few more upgrades to get the cocoons down faster and I’ll get him. My best so far is about 42%.

Not impossible at all. Plenty do it. Turn off growl and build some aggro before you let the pet attack

If you can get him to 42% you can kill him. P2 is the same throughout, so assuming you got through each of his abilities in p2, there’s nothing stopping you from getting him to 0 other than just being able to concentrate up until the end.

I just watched most of those videos and the version of the zek ?? fight I get is much faster paced and alot more damage goes out.

I get about half the time they get to move from the claw smash.

When I cleanse the spit DoT it still ticks 3-4 more times on me. I gave up on this fight because of this.

Why can’t I have this version instead of the one I get where claw smash is near instant and the area of effect is is wider than the graphic?

In phase 2 some aren’t even getting eggs

Theres 2 versions of this fight and not everyone is getting the easier version.

One of them didn’t even lose 20% not one time.

Hope I get the easy version of S2 delve boss.

633 isnt mythic geared.

Sounds like a skill issue.

Same fight, and there’s been nerfs. It’s a skill issue.

It’s wild to me that I can post several dozen kill videos of players with variable ilvls, and people still find a way to blame anything but themselves.

Patently false. Did it as a BM hunter with 612-613 gear.

Turn off growl, summon pets only after he does his first aoe cone attack, face tank him in the middle of the room, save cooldowns for cocoons. Set a macro up for interrupt and disengage on spittle.

Maybe you are playing with high latency? This does affect me sometimes.

Also if the video you’re watching is a warlock, or other class with a cast-time-increasing spell, those do affect zek, at least for spittle. Not sure about his other abilities.

If neither of these are the case, you’re just experiencing the difference between “watching” and “doing” and how that affects human perception.

I’m thinking something else is going on.

My latency very rarely goes above 19ms home/world.
We have an excellent gigabit fiber service with fiber to the house.

On my druid gathering toon I see strange things also.

For example the ez-mine nods.

I can land mine and fly away, then a good 20 yards away I get blown out of the sky and die. Sometimes I’ve even made it to a different herb/ore all together and i still get blown up while picking the mycobloom

The webbed nodes.

The webbing disappears yet I’m still under the slow effect for a good 2 seconds.

I’ve got an RTX 3060 12GB with the latest driver
128GB of system RAM
WoW is on one of the fastest m.2 drives I could find. An XPG GAMMIX S70 rev. 1. This one has the good firmware. I’ve tried it on every m.2 drive I have installed. the Firecuda 520 and the Samsung 980 Pro all of them seem about equal for file access/read speed.
my CPU is an liquid cooled AMD 3800xt 4.0 Ghz with a 400mm radiator
14 case fans
I’ve never seen temps go over safe levels.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled WoW more than once over the last few months. Including wiping all remnants from appdata and the registry.

I still get strange things happening.
idk if it’s client or server side, but they happen.

Your pet is NOT supposed to carry you through the fight tanking zekvir. Your supposed to tank him.

Well gosh this is above my pay grade to troubleshoot. Maybe you should make a tech support ticket. Definitely seems like something is up.

What is your MS?

I know the other day you said Fade wasn’t removing Spittle, that lag might be screwing with your dispel.

I very rarely ever see it go above 19ms for both home and world

Like I said we have a gigabit fiber service with fiber optic cable all the way to the modem inside the house.

edit: If I run a speed test it chooses servers that are really close so my ping is single digit.

Just tested it rn and it’s 6ms. I’ve seen it as low as 2ms

In game tho it’s normally parked at 19ms

Did it (Zekvir Tier ?.?) a number of weeks ago on BM Hunter. Difficult yes, but quite possible and I join an elite club that gets a void dirigible skin. Zekvir second phase was easier than the first phase for me. Pet growl off the entire time. Open with your own hunter attacks first.

This sounds like heavy intermittent packet loss.
Are you using WiFi? Any addons?
If not, I’d try with a different ISP or even 5G to check if the issues persist.

I’d also do a 10 min MTR test to a known Blizzard server (specially your world server) to check for packet loss.

Use TCPView (get it from Microsoft, it’s an official MS Sysinternals Tool), filter for WoW.exe while in game, and check the IP of whatever is running in port 3724, one IP (this one won’t change when swapping continents) should be your home server, and the other one, your world server.

no wifi
this machine is hardwired cat5e 350MHz 4pr 24AWG.It’s actually underground and UV rated so it’s in a hard tubing like insulator.

I use addons DBM details, TSM, tomtom, and leatrice+ to make my mini map square-ish…ooh and altoholic

In my little village of 300 people we only have the community fiber service. It’s fiber or nothing basically here. I guess I could use my phone as a hotspot and try it over the 5G.
Though I never see any stuttering or anything that would make me think my network is the blame, could be tho. idk whats going on.

I already have all those networking tools, but never really logged WoW for any length of time.

I live in Iowa, play on Stormrage.

The pitfall people have with specs like BM is that they try to pet tank the boss.

Not only does he seem to do bonus damage to pets, but pet tanking actually makes the fight a lot harder.

BM is a trap spec

He wrecks your pet so hard. You can’t even really start with them out because he will sometimes just hit them when they are in proximity before he gets to you. You know, just to make you feel even worse, even with growl off.
