Nothing seems out of the ordinary.
Good to know, thanks for taking the time and checking.
Finally got it, had a lot of other things to be doing

Think I’m putting the whole thing to to bed now, got as much as I can out of it
Impressive as hell though, thanks for sharing the video.
Pretty sure it’s Demonic Circle that removes the spit.
As for his regeneration, save your Wrathguards interrupt for it (you may need to make a macro for it), and use your cooldowns for the egg.
By the way, are you using G:FG? He stuns on charge.
Just wait until you see the naked shadow priest solo zekvir ?? vid.
I struggled with gear on…
Oh lol, that’s the same guy. Though OP finally did it clothed and posted the vid.
That’s me
You beast, made me feel like a child trying to put the circle in the damn square hole.
Isn’t the cone randomly target?
Cones afaict are semi randomly timed (but have an ICD which deadly boss mods can track) but will always go out towards the character that has top threat on Zekvir. So a lot of times you have to juke a good cone position when you see the ICD is up, waiting a few seconds before you run to the egg.
The taunt curio from Brann for melee increases your chances that Zekvir will aim a cone in an advantageous position if it triggers at the right time, but it’s a bonus to give you breathing room – you can’t predict when he will crit you for more damage.
I tried it on Warlock and after a few attempts decided it just wasn’t worth it. Firstly, I found his melee wasn’t terrible when I sac’d the pet (as destro/aff, never tired demo cause I figured Warthguard would get obliterated). You have a fair bit of healing at your disposal as a warlock if needed. The issue I kept facing wasn’t dealing with the webs or dodging the mechanics or interrupting the heal, it was dealing with the Spittle. The portal CD is LONGER than the time between casts and so that would inevitably destroy me.
I did it as frostfire frost mage and it was ridiculously easier because I could barrier out of the spittle every single time that it was up.
If it wasn’t for the spittle, though, that challenge I feel would be fairly easy as a warlock cause the webs died super fast and Daddy Zek didn’t seem to really do much damage to me as long as I didn’t stand in something (and on the instances I could clear the spittle instantly).
Thus far, i’ve tried it little again, but my last attempt was 61%. I can make good progress now, web terrors are little issue, but after a while, I make a stupid mistake like forget to remove the poison, or the circle is placed right where the next cone goes off. I’m going to wait until I’m at least 615 to try again.
I hope you get it!! I didn’t have the patience to deal with it on the warlock, haha. it’s definitely doable cause I’ve seen warlocks IG Delve chat talking about how they finally got it after a grueling process lol. My hats to you for sticking with it!
For me, i was just getting the movement dance down. And not trying to worry about zekvir damage.
Saving any and all cds for web spawns, etc.
I find it got easier after 60% with phase 2.
So having done this the other day with my lock and I figured I’d give some tips
- Make sure that Bran is decently leveled. He’s not the beast he was in the past, but he isn’t exactly worthless either. My suggestion is to run him with healer spec so that he can help keep gas in your tank while you chew through Zek.
- Make sure you are decently geared. I was 610 when I took him on with my Lock and had 4 set.
- I ran a single target Destrution build for this and that allowed me to hammer through the adds before they could finish incubation.
- For your demon you’re going to want to run VW if you’re going Dev since he’ll tank the boss and help mitigate some of the damage and mechanics.
From there it’s a case of avoiding your natural inclination to fight from as far away as possible and instead sit at a sort of “mid” range; you want to be just a bit outside of the fear circle while also being close enough that the cone isn’t impossible to avoid. This build is going to have the issue that you won’t be able to interrupt zekvir, but between Pact, Resolve, death coil, demonic healthstones and Bran it’s going to be pretty much a non issue while also being like… the only thing youre going to take damage from.
Just make sure to murder the cocoons faster then they can spawn and keep hammering zek and the fight will be pretty smooth.
?? suggests 623.
I’ll try to collect a lot of what people are saying into one place, because you need to combined these together for a successful kill.
Make a kick macro so you don’t have to switch off of cocoons to kick the heal, your kick is for the heal.
Don’t bother with tank pets, you’re the tank in this fight. His auto attacks are manageable as long as you’re using branns healing pots and minor defensives.
Save DPS cooldowns for the cocoons, if it hatches you’re toast.
Every class has a method of removing the dot, don’t rely on brann to dispell this because he isn’t consistent.
Everything else is avoidable mechanics.
I got my kill on a 604 fire mage. I’ve seen ilvl as low as 580 solo him at ??. The only thing ilvl helps with is managing the short periods of auto attack DMG which become less frequent at phase 2
ilvl is mostly irrelevant to Zekvir as long as you can meet the DPS requirement on eggs, which is easier the burstier your spec is.
in this economy? you’re looking at paying like 300 gold for a half pound of zekvir tips.
Progress is progress!
Happy to see you still going at it! And mistakes will happen. I know one time I got it down to sub 20% and just froze up. lol. That was fun >.< But, you still might want to just attempt it 1-2 times a day as you’re going to gear up. Zakvir ?? is very much a dance. Once you have the dance down you’ll be able to adjust to bad spawns and mistakes more easily.
