Zekvir ? ? Overtuned Sadism

Dude, thats your problem right there, yours and Ions.
Everyone loves and wants easy content, that is why WOW was popular in the first place.
A TINY TINY fraction of people want to sweat in WOW.

How do you not understand, that after killing boss, world first or second,
you like ‘YAY, I beat it, I am best’,
in response there is silence, nothingness.

Nobody cares if you do something in a video game which is considered “difficulty”.
No body.
Could you please try and get it?

Important not to forget despite all the good advice and well meaning discussion here, this is still an Eau thread and we’re all idiots for posting in it. Myself more than most.

False Ellips, as usual
Deep down, you know that I am right about difficulty.

I am just basing this on the constant threads I have seen with hundreds of upvotes talking about casuals wanting difficult solo content.

But they were all talk after all.

So stick to the easy content.
No one is making you do anything harder than you want.

I care. I enjoy setting and achieving goals. Even if they hold no real world value
The mental stimulation is good too.

If I had to guess, most people prefer having a range of content that spans from easy to difficult, so they can choose what suits them at any given moment. I think this is true for two main reasons:

What one person finds difficult might be easy for someone else, or even impossible for another. Terms like “easy” and “difficult” are inherently subjective and often describe the exact same content from different perspectives.

Personal preferences change depending on context. Sometimes, I enjoy a challenge, Zek’vir was a great example of this for me. It was the kind of fight that required learning, adapting, and improving, which felt rewarding. Other times, I want something moderately challenging that lets me relax and have fun with friends, like our weekly M+ runs. And then there are those late-night sessions at 4 a.m. when I’m on my own, just looking for something mindless to do while listening to an audiobook. For me, that’s usually herbing or running old content for transmog or mounts.

To echo what Moofurion said here, my literal favorite experiences in WoW are ones where I go into an encounter and then go through a loop of making a plan, executing the plan, analyzing what went wrong, and refining the plan. That’s not something that’s possible with easy content. For me, the process of trying, failing, and adjusting isn’t an obstacle standing in the way of my good time, it’s why I’m here in the first place.

And yeah, sometimes I want something easier. WoW has no shortage of easy content for me to enjoy when I’m in that mood. Find you someone who can do both as they frequently say.

WoW has struggled with solo challenging content for a while, with the Mage Tower being the only other real example and that being several years ago now at this point. Now that we have another one, I don’t really see the point in demanding its removal. You don’t HAVE to do it, it’s there for people who WANT to do it. The game isn’t any worse for its being there.

Ok, Zekvir was definitely easy on ?. Not sure about ?? as I have not tried to clear 10s yet. I thought it was balanced very well. at lower gear it was hard but by playing for a while, easy mode content not struggling, I now one killed him / it in one attempt. Good job to the devs.

You’re 100% right. Every form of content has a myriad of difficulty levels for players to hone in on and find what works for them. But it doesn’t matter. These people think the hardest difficulty of content should be tuned specifically for them so that they can get every reward they crave.

Doesn’t matter if other players can farm Zekvir ??, they’re having trouble and the problem can’t be them. It’s the encounter itself and they deserve the reward, so nerf the encounter.

The warlock green fire questline when current was pretty challenging. I remember that taking me 30 attempts or so and being the most difficult thing I had done to that point.

That was before my time. I wish I could have tried it.

I was bit more into my Destro Lock back in the Legion too!

Really enjoyed that quest and got the title, which I believe you could get only during that time if I am right? You can still do the quest and get the green fire cosmetic reward but the title is no more.

I gave it a try few times. My pet dies instantly , Bran can’t last longer then 10 seconds, and when both of them are down it takes 2 melee hits and I’m dead. Never saw all mechanics

So I have up on that.

you have to tank it

LoL Like I said , 2 hits I’m dead. I can survive during Survival of the fittest is active and turtle but after that its the same. Two melee hits and I’m down.

branns potions heal for more than his melee hits do, use those. the healing effect also stacks

Sure if they where non stop on the filed.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. You clearly don’t post at either of those times though, you played poorly and the fight didn’t allow you a group to cover your mistakes, so you died.

Zekvir does far more casting than he does auto attacking. You are also more than capable of kiting him. You can cleanse the magic dot, so if you’re are dying from lack of potions then save your defensives if he didn’t throw them out. But you can stagger the potions per hit and you get 3 instantly.

He will probably auto you twice, max, before he starts spam casting 3 abilities.

Get the 50% crit buff, and the relic one that either makes you small or big. It’s either more hp and haste, or a dmg buff.

Well I attempted him at 604 iLvl. Maybe that was one of the reasons, as well Bran is only lvl 48
