I use him dps but also heal as well… only thing different against ??lv Zek is live lasting a little longer. basically Zek is too powerful in ?? lv, and I don’t use shield ( I have it) but I use two handed weapons only because of the eggs… may be this is the reason! however the game should be able to kill the Zek with dps mode as well I believe…
With Brann as a healer, he should be dropping 3 potions. Each potion heals a large portion of your health and has a stacking HoT effect for passive healing. That should take care of most auto attacks with the exception of critical hits.
the problem is Brann is not always throwing the bottles every times i am in critical moments. did you kill ?? Zek? if so you are good…
I do wish the potions were a little more… reliable? It’s quite annoying to go to pick one up only for it to not work because they’ve expired but are still visually there for several seconds after expiring…
Took me 150 attempts at ilvl 606. Brann was set to healer and his potions drop every 30 or so seconds. The passive heal should last for about 10 seconds or so. The worst part of the fight for me was managing the add and dealing with the spittle as a lock with a 30 second rinse. Had to rely on less than reliable Brann dispels.
Dealt with this quite a bit during my attempts. Just sighed, turned on burning rush, and kited until more potions dropped.
150 attempts!! you deserve to have the glyph!!
I am thinking trying with other classes… I realized I can never win this guys with pally…
I just can’t!!
It took me a good many tries but I managed to beat ? Zekvir with some patience. Still haven’t tried ?? but I need to complete the required delve tiers first. I’ve heard horror stories about him though.
Took me maybe 30 attempts or so? The RNG is harsh. Really harsh. Between Zekvir machine gunning out mechanics at random, and Brann deciding to do whatever he wants whenever he wants, there’s no way you can just fall into a routine like you could with mage tower, because every attempt is so different.
I actually think he’s kind of easier in phase 2 than in phase 1, at least for us warlocks, because the addition of the spikes actually means he does the spittle less often…
It was a solid 9 hours of attempts with barely any progress, occasionally getting Zekvir to phase 2. After that, the next day was a lot shorter with maybe 1 hour of attempts that were a lot closer before I got the kill.
Well you could do it as prot too, but you should be okay with ret. You have to use his healing pots and stand around his healing orb whenever he throws that out. That alone should be enough to keep you alive for his auto hits. I found he hit at most 3 times and then just went back to casting for like another 20 seconds.
After that it’s just avoiding the frontals, swirlies, and killing the webs. Never leave him across the room running to a spider because his ground slam is insanely large and you will never make it out. You have to keep him around the middle or slowly let him follow you to the spider.
?? zek is completely different…
I can say, if you have experienced with regular boxer (? zek), then ??zek is Mike tyson… lol
Guess I’ll just lie down and die in the arena at the start and save myself and Zekvir the trouble.
Arguably the worst part of the fight for me as affliction was him constantly spewing out mechanics to the point that I could barely cast off any spells. This leads to way too many deaths from not being able to DPS the web terror’s down fast enough. Also, having to deal with Brann’s AI, as opposed to having his dispel on a separate button was really painful.
not sure whats going on with delves tonight.
I was just in a t9 and it was all bugged out.
literally not playable.
could be you got hit with the same thing I did
I gave up when I got hit for 800 million damage and got blown across the cavern by something, didn’t even see it.
Was under the terrain or invisible.
yes that’s me just down with uppercut right at the start lol
Ah. I did it as Destro. I’m normally Demo but pet AI is too clunky for eggs, as is the lack of immediate burst damage. Destro worked well because of high burst damage, with havoc, and Shadowburn for bursting eggs while dodging those damn mechanics.
I feel like Aff might have the same issue as Demo in that you have to set up your damage over time
For aff, drain soul being interrupted by mechanic dodging was the worst part, or oblivion being interrupted for the same reason. Beyond that, most spells were thankfully pretty easy to manage.
Warlocks can just teleport and cleanse the dot… lol
Yes, which is what I did for the majority of the fight because I couldn’t rely on Brann to dispel the spittle.
Warlocks having a cleanse doesn’t change that Brann’s AI is horrendously inconsistent at the best of times.
