Zekvir is just brutal

I got my ilevel to 603. Solid trinkets. Recommended curioes at 4/4. Brann set to dps seems to work pretty well. I have him at level 32.

But the rng in this encounter is brutal.

Wowhead shows where the web terror can spawn. The dots suggest all over the room. Of course, the dots show where they have spawned, not the number of occurrences.

Note that they can spawn in the preparation room if lovely zekvir fears you out of the room.

My terrors have all with perhaps 1 or 2 exceptions, been along the wall, especially in the corners. I dont know how many ti es ive tried this. I dont really want to know.

Brann misses interrupts. He gets feared. He stands in the frontals. His egg spawns who knows where.

I think lowestvi have gotten zek is 35%. And then i get hit by something.

A frontal that seems to hit wide. A fear when i am at the edge of the circle. I run out of CDs, or i make a mistake.

Maybe this all gets “easy” at 605. But for a normie player like me, this is brutal.

Yep, his auto attacks are insane. Hunter is out of the question. He one shots every single pet Iv brought in there. Most can’t make the dps check to kill the add in time because he puts the cone right on the add every single time and I have to back off. Its a mess that’s for sure

603 is bare minimum really. I went in with a 602 and got him to ~50%. I’m going to up my ilvl closer to 610 before trying again, which I should be closer to with my vault this week.

I did “?” on my fury today, ilv 600 at the time, many tries, it was a rly intense fight(too bad the rewards were lame);

I think it will be damn hard for other classes/specs to do, i only manage because i was able to burst down the spider he summon before it pops out from the cocoon, these little gonners do webblast that hit for a million, impossible for prot.

Seeing how hard it was at ?, i will not step on ?? until i get more ilv.

the quest literally says “we’re not strong enough to beat him yet” i wonder if that changes as you do higher delves. i’ve heard rumor it was supposed to unlock after delve 10.

shrug / the cheevs are for “by the end of the season” so i’m in no hurry

Would’ve preferred if the interrupt was an extra skill instead of relying on an AI myself. Relying on an AI to kick is silly.

I don’t give him the chance to - because he’ll interrupt like 3 in a row and i’ll fall into a false sense of security and have my back to the boss and BAM! Hit with the slow poison because Brann decided he didn’t wanna interrupt that time

I did it with my blood DK, yes blah blah ezmode, and bran was pew pewing. (the first tier havent even tried the 2nd yet)

Went in there later and did it with my hunter just to see if i could. took about 8 tries with him as healer incase i missed an int and he could clense the enfeeble off me

It is still early in the season. Sure, 600+ is decent at the moment, but we can get to 620+ or even 630+ and have tier set bonuses and other things.

There is still a lot of room to grow to make this fight far easier, so I think it’s fine if it’s challenging right now in week 2 out of a ~3-4 month tier.

I would argue that Brann healer yields better tries than him as DPS. Those pots help manage those brutal hits.

I just beat him a few hours ago. I was breathing pretty heavy towards the end lol.

Anyways, the best tips I can give is prioritize killing the adds asap. Preferably before they hatch, and interrupt Zekvir’s green dot ability, I forget the name. Don’t stay too close to him, because when he goes for the fear, it’s tougher to dodge if you’re too close.

100% agree. I’ve been running all my delves with Brann as heals because it is just more beneficial on my lock. The pots make a huge difference and once you realize each pot heals you and your demon, you have more opportunity for damage.

I’ll third that. I had Brann as heals. His pots were vital in this fight.

It’s brutal but so far I’ve done it on fury warrior and havoc dh with several pulls. It’s just about taking it slow and sometimes hoping some rng works in your favor, and paying attention to some cds.

I managed ? on this char around ilvl602, but I need to pop too many cooldowns to reliably kill eggs in ??, leaving me short on damage to manage multiple eggs over the encounter.

?? is going to be insane. From what I read, he does his abilities much faster, they hit harder, and He’s got roughly double the health.

Brann is supposed to top out at 60 but I was reading somewhere on here that he is currently capped lower. If that is the case, what is the current cap? Correction: Just logged in and he is at 30.
