Zekvir. Did you enjoy?

Im SV as well. Id end up using eagle to range the first one. Id hold off on clearing spit until hed cone and disengage out to clear the dot as well. I had a few issues where he’d throw the egg in a corner and run over in phase 2 and fear bomb so I had too long of a run out of the circle, since I was walled in.

Finding a challenge to test memory, knowledge, and reaction speed: This sparks joy.
Being killed by RNG auto attack crits or from Brann dying for no reason and thus causing death beyond your control: This does not spark joy.

So kind of 50-50 on Zekvir.

I haven’t got him down, yet. I tried several times. Hunter and ret pally, I’m just terribad at it. I may give it another go tomorrow, I’d like to knock that achievement out.

Didn’t even try it, don’t care much for the reward honestly.

Last time I did some “annoying” solo stuff was the mage tower reintroduction on a bunch of classes, because the mogs were cool and the challenge was kinda fun.

All I see about the ?? Zekvir is that its annoying asF, and while I could do it, I just really don’t care about it

There was some absolute clown fiesta in that fight. Half my tries felt like they failed because I rolled bad rng.

That being said: the most enjoyable “Delve” this season imo. The fact that certain classes are pure hell versus others is hilarious though. And doing it in a group is a meme.

lmao.

I find it fun other than the egg. As unholy, it feels like a slog. Other than that, it’s pretty chill.

Yeah, as someone who has always played at max range and max zoom out (i still feel very frustrated with the “new” max), i absolutely hate that room and how confined it makes me feel lol

I doubt you’re bad at it. There really isn’t much room to gauge bad vs good in this from my perspective. Most all of it was just being willing to die continuously while you wait for the right rng on spacing and time during the fight.

Yeah. That happened.

Oh do not underestimate the bad here

But I do appreciate what appears to be encouragement!

? was a cakewalk.
?? is too much of a gear check for me to obtain as a purely solo player.

:man_shrugging: What’s to really say about it?

I did it on Evoker, cleared ?? today. It wasn’t as fun as the Mage Tower. Bit too much RNG with where the egg goes, if Bran stands in stuff and then dies and can’t cleanse spittle etc. But funner than nothing, I guess!

i did not enjoy it
rng on every egg spawn and the cones 50/50 choosing you or brann makes it wildly unfun

I tend to agree with you mostly, it was a weird dance. Admittedly, I discovered I was negotiating the spittle mechanic incorrectly and that was leading to multitudes of deaths, but once I figured that portion out and began getting ahead of the spittle for ‘my class’ (by using portal making myself immune just prior to the cast) and then putting Zek in between myself and the egg/add, it was pretty clinical and I just really settled into the “dance” or cycles if you-will and wasn’t even really paying attention to his health when he keeled over. I noticed he was below 30% or so and just told myself to keep doing what I was doing.

So yeah, it felt more like Pass/Fail than ‘progression’ I guess, but you could say there was progression if you make it to P2 and then get tripped up by the ‘new mechanic’… making you then have to repeat P1 again, that does qualify as, progression.

I suspect though, by the end of the expansion, if we end up having 3-4 ‘bosses’ that might be similar enough to Mage Tower that it’s all a wash. Now, I wasn’t playing when MT was current and I’ve found that to be pretty difficult as well mechanics-wise post-legion. I suspect this Zekvir adventure might actually lend some focus towards the MT stuff that I want to complete… mainly the Guardian Druid one for the form. Had him to sub 10% and mucked it… and haven’t been back since.

I certainly wouldn’t say it was the most ‘fun’ I’ve had progressing a fight/boss/encounter but it wasn’t he worst either. I like being able to tackle a boss from multiple angles but this one does not seem to allow that insofar as the mechanics involved and the spacing, etc. Like, I found that if you placed yourself in between the boss and the egg/add, that was almost always a recipe for getting hit by the frontal or leading to something else detrimental. Once I maintained the add and the boss in front of me, that became on a non-issue. The fight design doesn’t allow for much variance in the manner of the mechanics being handled such that you don’t get behind or fail to execute one entirely.

A good challenge yes, but not necessarily fun.

I did it, and was considering trying it on my lock and monk who are near my main toon gear wise.

I’ve done the warlock fel fire thing when it was relevant, and also did accomplish getting my outlaw rogue artifact weapons through the mage tower challenge.

I’d say that Zekvir was the easiest to accomplish out of the three challenges encounters I’ve done. I got a little frustrated after dying to him when he had like 10% ish health left but overall it was pretty fun.

Doing encounters like that and succeeding at it helps me to feel like I do know my class and what I’m doing, even when I don’t always feel that way.

Didnt mind doing it. Havent tried ??zekvir.

I thought it went on a bit too long. Many of my deaths were just to needing a breather. I liked the concept and killing it was a bit of a thrill but more of a relief to be done with it
