Dreamsurge loot upgraded. Time Rift loot upgraded. Suffusion camp loot upgraded. Even WQs have had their ilvl loot upgraded.
But ZC? Nah…are they embarrassed they created this zone and want us to forget it?
I would of liked Zaralek Caverns more if you know, half of it wasn’t just the same ol’ black dragon grind spot with congested elites. A place I have no interest in being around. I’d rather take candle in the Fargodeep Mine.
I hope they tune the rares to be solo-friendly soon… 
Not to mention the possibility of death from being dismounted. I actually kinda liked the zone, have all of the pets and stuff, but i avoided that entire area like the plague unless it was for a weekly kill of the world bosses. You would have thought that Blizzard would have learned from the Maw that people will avoid zones that make you feel like you’re being punished just for being in them 
So embarrassed that they created a entire underground expansion…
The things they upgraded are just event and side activities, Zaralek was a main patch zone, but now is the Emerald Dream. Nothing different from any previous expansions: when new main patch arrives, the old one stay behind.
Edit: I just discovered that they also upgraded Zaralek Cavern event “Researchers Under Fire”. Just confirming what i said, just events being upgraded. Better gear must to come from the new patch. It aways worked like that.
Considering they made the marks from the patch Zaralek was part of nothing but shiny rocks you can sell… yeah they must hate that place. They didn’t disable your ability to upgrade season one gear but season two gear can’t be upgraded anymore, you also apparently lose all flightstones from season 2…which is weird as I had several hundred back on monday and I log in today and yeah they’re all gone. So much for my excitement about the catalyst being open as I was using it to turn champion level stuff into raid tier and grabbing heroic skins I liked… was fun but hey Blizz hates fun I guess. What really sucks is I gotta farm that cavern…somehow…to get my dragons the ability to wear a helmet. They even dropped an item in your bag that skips the zaralek cavern’s questline or…idk seems like it does anyways. Half expecting Blizz to respond to being asked why they hate those caverns with the whole “Caverns? What Caverns? There’s no caverns in DF” like they did a certain sword
