The problem is they aren’t relevant for very long.
The xpacs where wbosses dropped mounts, were and are pretty much ALWAYS relevant, even if it was just for the mount.
Some rares CAN be fun, but like you said, only for a little bit.
Caverns failed, mostly because the content drop off is insane.
There is no wpvp interest. There is no major meta. No real dailies. The world boss doesn’t even give rep or really anything notable. It’s literally catch up gearing. Heck, the silly protect the explorers whatever. No one has done this since week 1.
People STILL do the feast, take back the keep, random hunts on the outside… which says a lot about that zone.
Even lfg is bad for it. There is almost always 1-2 groups for forbidden reach rares. You rarely see one for cavern rares.
The only time I touch cavern is if its a fresh alt and I want my rock/stone combo and need some flightstones/crests from SMELLY TRASH PILES, not even the actual cave content

I completely agree… it does seem people are really trying to hang on to some ‘content’ some how because I so so many groups wanting to farm FR, even though it was kind of being made ‘obsolete’ because of the ring. I am also just trying to make my time interesting … Time Rifts are a weekly ‘for entire account’? … Everything is hung on Tuesday or Raid / M+ for gear upgrades.
Trying to keep up on profession…they are as I can see trying to keep that relative better than other expacs… but… anyways.
The rares still drop a mount. ALL of them have a chance.
Vault still has things that can drop with keys, but you have to do each week. So you need A LOT of keys…
The ring is STILL good until you hit 430ilvl.
I make sure to grab it on any fresh toon. Heck, the ring does like 20-30% of my dps depending on the pull lol. Storm procs op.
Yea I agree. I’ve been gearing alts and doing the older content like scholo unlock. The ZG grind for bs patterns. Hourly rifts…
As much as I hated SL lore, there was always plenty to do. This xpac is feeling pretty empty.
I kind wish they’d drop a naz type meta on us to give us something to do daily. Or heck. Bring back actual dailies lol.

Thank you for that info… guess I did not realize how much relevance the FR had… I had fun there, but seemed to pass so quick. I regret I did not realize the importance or value of the ring and more.

Honestly it’s not bad.
Getting a fully upgraded ring can be done in an hour or so (I mostly base this off how long it takes to get 30 keys). And the keys are boa, so you can hit FR on your main. Join a grinding group and nuke the rares.
It’s definitely more enjoyable that we’ve geared up a bit and don’t get deleted by the random mobs because you pulled 1 too many lol.
Being a major alt person helps haha. I’ve geared at least 5 toons since FR released. My rogue is 415ilvl after 2 weeks. Zero raid/m+ content done on her. Purely world content and heroic dungeons.
Even made her a 424 lariat for the luls. No regrets xD

I have 6 alts now too… but I obviously am missing some really great info and insight on the game. There is just SO much to keep up with (based on my little brain) … I appreciate your info and insight.
If you’re getting the Forbidden Reach ring, then I suggest putting a max Wind Sculpted Stone in it.
Free 500+ movement speed from just running is amazing.
