I apologize then. It’s had been a day, I was more then likely overly agitated.
I don’t dislike anything about about adding a new class option. I just want a more engaging story.

You’re still confusing paladins and prelates. Just because they use the same class for game mechanics, doesn’t mean they’re the same thing in lore. Just like an orc warrior who is a savage berserker isn’t the same as an alliance warrior who might be a highly disciplined soldier in stormwind’s army. Just because they share the same class doesn’t mean they share the same lore. You’re trying to force the lore of a zandalari prelate into a human paladin shaped hole. It’s been covered several times that the light will answer to anyone who has strong enough conviction in their beliefs. Nowhere does it say the light will only answer you if you believe in the correct light. It can clearly be channeled via naruu, anshe, the loa or faith in the light that the human church of the light worships. A prelate is only the same as a knight of the silver hand in that they both share the mechanics of the paladin class template.
It’s clear that’s not at all what the pally is asking. He is thought clearly asking for a deep immersion story.
Which he states right here. But you all are more focused on God knows what to even pay attention to it. I’m still trying to understand why you all are upset that this guy wants a deeper story. I mean really Mr taren did you even read his post before shooting of that reply.
We were long over due for another paladin race.
Nah. We should never have had them in the first place. But thanks to all vanilla cry babies we do. Along with the pretty boys of the horde aka BE.
Those are some fightin’ words.
Why should I focus so much on his complaints of lack of story when he’s made it so clear that he either isn’t aware of or disregards what story has been put forth so far and is yet to come? There’s already background on the prelates being a high order of holy warriors who draw their power from Rezan, the loa of kings. Now that rezan is dead, the prelates have lost their power, but it’s clear with the addition of zandalari paladins that their power will be restored. There is still more story to come with the release of the upcoming raid. Also there’s the remainder of vol’jin’s story to play out. In my opinion, he is likely going to replace Rezan as the loa of kings and will be a new power source for prelates to draw on. Complaining about lack of a story when the story hasn’t released is pointless. It’s funny that you don’t see a single person complaining about lack of a kul tiran shaman story.
Because it’s blatantly clear that you and the others here that support the current story are close minded and incapable of seeing the need for a good story. I mean why not just let every race be every class option.
Every druid option you have is nature based. But heck let’s just let gnomes be druids and shamans by the use of tech. Because the heck why not.
Thank you, for being the only one that seemed to get my point.
Funny how it’s only paladin class options that break from class fantasy. In order to give more choices to the horde faction.
Put them up. : p
Tell that to Shaman… By your logic the only Alliance shaman that make sense are the Draenei (because they were taught by the Orcs on Draenor), Dwarf Shaman surely make no sense to you, they’ve never had any connection to the elements and suddenly they can be Shaman with zero outside assistance, but they got retconned into existence with the excuse of “oh, well they’ve always had shaman” despite them never having been seen before for the sake of giving the Alliance more Shaman races.
You’d lose 1v1
Where would you like to meet? I will bring the A1. you bring the plates?
I agree. But I don’t toe the line and agree with you on other aspects of lore, so I am sure that you and the others next few posts will be nothing more attacks.
It appears he is asking for an epic 1k page storyline to explain something he says is (subjectively) bad. Did we get a LotR storyline for pandas, human hunters, or kul’tiran shaman? No one here with a Z troll paladin problem seems to care too much about the paper thin kul’tiran shaman. You wanna talk about not making sense, water mages somehow also control lightning for some reason. People don’t want a “good story” (which z trolls as paladins actually have), they just want to feel like special snowflakes. The arguement that “it’s not my class, bro” doesn’t work when your arguement so far has been lore, and good storytelling.
I assure you some human male paladins are looking forward to Troll paladins and their pretty dino mount.
Edit: would have made sense if i posted it on a human paladin, but Eh.
And that’s bad why?
So if you want a good story that makes you a special snowflake. I’m confused at your argument. But whatever there really is no reasoning with people like you, your to close minded.
Yes, I would like to see one for all these classes. If that makes me a special snowflake ok than.
Vol’jin was darkspear.
