I didn’t agree with a lot of things he said but and this is a big BUT, he did communicate and was one of the very few. So yeah, he talked with customers… goes against new Blizzards philosophy. Had to fire him I guess.
Sad and a great loss. All it’s going to do is make the community more pissed.
The earnings call was a joke - they went on and on about providing a good experience for their players yet further distance themselves from said players. They need more CMs, not less. Bunch of idiots. I think Mike left because he didn’t like where things were heading and they got a yes man in J.
Unless things have changed in last 2 months since my last visit, Diablo CMs are pretty much nonexistent. As much as some complain about our blues posting in fluff topics, at least they actually post on a fairly regular basis.
Whatever souless piece of filth suit and tie moron responsible for this decision can rot in hell for all I care. Hopefully someday he’ll choke on some of those quarterly savings.
I’m saying that the people protesting by spamming dislikes and making stuff up about the game contributed to this layoff. The toxicity surrounding this game and other blizzard titles has gotten out of control, and its really come to a head here.
I HOPE I’m wrong about that, but right now I’m just really upset about this.
That sucks. I didn’t always agree with Ythisens but it’s really sad to see someone lose their job. I’ve never been laid off, but I imagine it’s like having one of your worst dreams come true.
Even though not all of his posts were down to business, it sucks knowing that communication will suffer when it’s been something that they claim they have been trying to improve.
