Youve slept on Justicars vengence for far to long

it boggles my mind that every single paladin other than myself even considers picking this talent instead of final verdict. with this spell a cool build for rets becomes possible. 1h weapon with a shield. take crusading strikes so you are getting twice as much hpower generation compared to a slow 2h weapon. take the talent blessed champion so ur fast crusading strike auto attacks become aoe attacks.(completely cut out divine storm and blade of justice you got aoe covered) take 2x zealots-fervor and 2x heart of the crusader so ur auto attacks become faster and stronger. justicars vengence is ur holy power spender. mix in hammer of light mini nukes and ur top dps almost all the time. humor me and give it a try. a real try and youll see

It is funny but it’s not serious, Its a meme, nothing more.

You can’t use either BoJ or Divine Storm with this.

It’s bad, you don’t attack fast enough to make up for the loss of generation which in turn makes it impossible to maintain DH.

Nobody is sleeping, but you sure are dreaming

you dont take divine hammer and i mentioned already to cut out divine storm. the talents i mentioned arnt the only baseline choses to pick. like vanguards-momentum so hammer of wrath becomes a main hp generator. you also take judgment-of-justice, crusade + radiant glory so ur haste skyrockets every 30 sec. you have to stop trying to actively make ur build not work with it and try looking at ur talents with an open mind also get a good weapon and shield

For 10 sec every 30sec, its bad.

You just end up looking at your character swinging.

You shouldn’t even pick AoW because its worthless.

you already decided to not try making it work so it wont with you

Dude litteraly did this build for funsy each expac, it’s not good.

you’re not innovative, that’s not novel.

Even not taking DH, it’s still bad.

i know it works ive been doing it since dragonflight. like i said you already decided before actually trying

Yes it works, just like I can equip an intellect 2hander and still hit my abilities.

I doesn’t make it any less of a meme that’s not even close to building correctly though.

I do try it, every once in a while for fun, like I said, you’re not novel or innovative, you didn’t discover jack.

It’s just not good.

What, you think you’re the only one that realized JV was working with 1hander?
Come on… don’t be like that.

give this build a try

lol without even looking.

Look at mine…

I know what you mean dude…

It’s still bad, I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s funny, but it’s not good.

Just mathematically speaking, you generate less HP and use it on a spender that does less damage.

It does better than one would expect I guess but if the goal was to say there’s an alternative, it’s really not.

For what it’s worth, I wish BoJ would at least work with 1hander.

You should probably take endless wrath in the templar tree btw with shield Ret, it makes HoW more available

no ty, i dont want to lose 30% dps (thats with jv being as strong with fv btw)

I love meme specs, and I think it’s awesome that even in modern WoW we still have the flexibility to deviate from the norm and make playstyles that are completely unintended gameplay but are still functional.

I had created a topic (Ret Paladin & Shield of the Righteous) about when—if ever—would we use Shield of the Righteous as a Ret paladin and the discussion (led by Benmarch, actually) introduced me to JV working as a ST holy power spender with a 1H weapon.

While CSAA would indeed give you AOE capabilities, I think you could pull some ideas from my previously mentioned topic and supplement your AOE by using Shield of the Righteousness as an AOE holy power spender. It is off the GCD as well, which could lead to some interesting interactions with ret’s current tier set and its ability to proc “infinite” (i.e. refunding) holy power for a period of time. Could be worth giving a shot!
