You're welcome Alliance

You might want to invest in some thicker skin.

I agree. The entitlement here is astounding.

Alliance: "Stop treating us like we're second class citizens and insulting us. Our money is just as good as the other faction's."

Horde: "YOU ENTITLED LITTLE CHILDREN STOP !@#$%ING FOR ^-*!'S SAKE!"

Battle for Azeroth will Die when Warcraft 3 Reforged comes out and Bias Devs will figure out why so many Alliance Players refuse to play Horde Bias Expansion and why they are leaving the game.

I myself might leave for the True Warcraft Game known as Warcraft 3 Reforged where you can actually play as the True Old Horde and the True Old Alliance that has True Iconic High Elves rather than the Soulless Current Alliance Faction with Blueberry Dark Elf Ones and no iconic races like Wildhammer Dwarves and High Elves. Too bad in WoW you can't dye your hair to be like Uther. Grey and Brown. So much for Custiomzation Options for the Alliance...

It's always hilarious when someone thinks a game of a completely different genre will remotely touch sub numbers.

You people need to learn how to take a joke. If it had said "You're welcome horde" in something of a similar fashion i would have still laughed, you need to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes, no reason to be so uptight.

Easy for you to say; you and yours aren't the constant targets of these openly biased 'devs': you're always the beneficiaries.
Now go back to pretending you're playing a balanced game.

They open disdain certain members of the dev team show for a good portion of their player base is getting old. I know it's supposed to be all in good fun but at a certain point it stops being funny and becomes patronizing.

(puts out a little tray of cookies in support of better behavior)

pretty much this, whenever we had reports a few years ago about "horde players" specifically going after "Alliance players" at blizzcon, it being so bad security was called. Blizz should have put their foot down but instead we get stuff like this and a few jokes about growing thicker skin because "faction pride is a good thing".

...Alliance only have themselves to blame for all the whining about pvp.

That makes no sense, you have casual groups of players and you have the hardcore groups of players. Hardcore groups of players moved to horde because of imbalanced racials long ago.

Hardcore groups are going to be undoubtedly the better pvp group.
How is this the fault of the more casual groups of alliance players?
I’m talking about casual Bgs. Alliance lose because of poor play. I win more than lose, but the losses have nothing to do with racials, which is the common excuse.

If you're the developer of a game played by millions and millions of people across the planet you should be professional enough to focus on the other faction as much as your own faction.

If a developer plays Horde and enjoys the Horde more than the Alliance that's ok but be professional enough to put the same effort into the other faction as you do your own. This is your product that you get paid to work on so pull up those pants and put it in the work, not just on your own side but on the other.

These jokes and quips just come off childish. If you can't be professional enough to put work into faction balance on the game you get paid to work on then maybe you shouldn't be working on an MMO.

Honestly, for me it wasn't the "jokes and quips" that really got me, even though the "you're welcome alliance" gag annoys me.

It was the Level Design panel.

"You can't always design horde cities."
"Someone has to build things for the alliance."

They joked like building Boralus was b*tch work on their team. Like it's something that none of them was looking forward to because none of them play Alliance.

It's not just the intended jabs they take. It's the rest of what they say and how they say it that really fuels the feeling of bias.

It is.

The Horde entitlement is astounding.

At least a few of you get what's going on. You know...other than you, of course.

Is it really blizzards fault for the imbalance or can the players take some responsibility for the innumerable comments on how the alliance is for newbs and children. Blizzard didnt create the stereotype d-bag players did. All blizz did was poke fun at a tired joke that only a crowd at blizzcon would get.
I feel like this is silly, and something not worth panicking over. I main Horde, but I play both sides, and this kind of thing just seems overly childish to complain over. Even Chris Metzen when he went up to ask his question made a small jab at the Alliance in playful banter, and no one had a problem when he did it.

Just relax a little bit. Nothing in a video game is worth getting this angry over when it's obviously a complete joke that has absolutely no substance whatsoever.

If the Alliance player base would stop crying about self imposed bias and fictional imbalances, then maybe they wouldn't keep poking fun at you guys. Start bringing legitimate complaints and maybe they'll start making meaningful changes. If all you guys do is complain about High Elves, Mounts, and War Mode (Which is an Alliance made problem), then why bother doing anything but poke fun?

Okay.

So, if our concept of what constitutes a "valid complaint" is incorrect, why don't you tell us what does then?

Go on. Go and tell the Alliance what we should be complaining about.

Threads like this getting 200 posts is why no one takes alliance complainers seriously.

No one takes Alliance complaints seriously because the devs all play Horde and don't care.

Says the guy who probably complained endlessly because he didn't want to betray Sylvanas and Blizzard cradled him and changed the quest to give him a choice.

What Blizzard is doing is turning it's players on each other. This is an issue with the developer, folks - stop infighting about it. Blizzard is actually the responsible party making the faction imbalance, fueling the animosity between the player bases, and acting self-righteous about it in the process.

If anyone in the Blizzard camp cared a single bit about what Alliance players wanted they would have dropped some alliance-beneficial hints toward what's coming next in an effort to unsalt their players. The fact that they did nothing of the sort and patronized in it's stead... shows just how far this ship has sailed.

This is not a recoverable situation unless the leadership on this product is changed.

The Joke was about the Alliance performance at BGs.

When one faction, of a game which its pvp is based on matching one faction against the other, loses constantly to the point it is well known within the community that there's basically no pvp on that side, you , as a developer, shouldn't be "making fun" and created basically glorified pve to replace the experience, you should be working in fixing the problem.

When you make a joke it's because you acknowledge the problem. With this all Blizzard has done is show they are aware of this imbalance, yet they don't work to fix this at all.

THAT'S the problem players have. That can't go over your heads.

Are you seriously pretending that only casual players play casual BGs?.

Racials are an absolute factor, and the same happened during the time Alliance racials were OP in WoD with the Horde losing much more, not because racials give that much of an advantage but because strong racials attract more players. However the Horde racials have been over powered for so long pretty much the entire pvp community is there , therefore there are 10 times more the ammount of pre mades and players invested in pvp. OBVIOUSLY the horde will win. With racials being the factor that started it all.

If you can't get this argument then you clearly don't pvp or don't know much about pvp. Same factor that is affecting Warmode.

I doubt it was meant to be malicious, but with a lot of concerns about faction balance, it just seemed like it was in poor taste and not needed.

this happens every blizzcon, horde get hyped up, and then they take a jab at the alliance.

Really Blizz?

Not only you are responsible for the imbalance between the factions but Alliance should thank you for it?

I admit, i've had some doubt about people saying that Blizzcon was a place full of snarky comments about the Alliance from the bias devs. So yes, thank you for removing all my doubts.

But i'll thank you more no worries. I'll thank you by not buying virtual tickets anymore and i wll also thank you by not puting a foot in your BGs and by turning my warmode off.

Thank you Blizz devs.

You fanboy way too hard dude, wtf. it was clearly a joke, lmao.

Exactly this. It's obviously a joke, obviously not meant with bad intentions. But it just shows they don't care about the problem even if they know about it.

Last I checked Mr. Metzen is no longer employed by Blizzard and is just another player now so it's fine. Even if he has a unlimited access account so he doesn't need to pay a subscription and gets all future expansions free along with complimentary Blizzcon tickets, he does not work at the company anymore so using him as an excuse is kinda invalid.

This,

And the team need to buff alliance racials... end of story.

That's why they made that joke. It's a Comp Stomp BG. Alliance vs. AI (with no racials).

Sense of humor, get some.
