Ya this sucks so very bad. Blizzard is being so unfair to those of us who do not raid or m plus. Haters making haters on sparse content. Meanies the lot of them are. so disappointed and I was having a lot fun in the Cavern before this. Now I just dont even want to log in.
Why do you want “grindable” content? Summer is coming, take a break, go outside.

I saw the notes the day they came out but honestly haven’t noticed a difference. I’ve seen every rare every day on my dh who can solo them as when I play it tends to be empty. So unless it’s something about killing the same rare several times a day idk.
Ah yes the “fun” shield. Anyone who tries to use the word fun or unfun in these arguments has no argument as they simply hide behind the subjective nature. It’s weird if it was fun before it would still be fun but you simply want the rewards sooner which would end the alleged fun sooner which in fact means it wasn’t.
This is a petty change that punishes the casual open world player.

If you toss RDF back into Wrath classic I’ll consider continuing to play but there’s nothing doing it for me at Blizz town anymore.
Yeah, I finally ditched DF because it’s just “do m+, raid or gtfo” which works for some people but not for me.
After being very stubborn I gave WOTLK another shot since it’s a 50% xp buff right now, and to my surprise the servers were super full (unlike the very dead feeling retail has), people constantly running stuff, questing is great and it’s just such a refreshing feel compared to retail right now. Even with LFD it’s actually not THAT bad (you just list yourself in the new finder or apply to a group like you do in the retail finder). LFD would make it much faster, but it’s not the doom-and-gloom scenario I thought it was before I actually tried it.
If you’re starting fresh though come over with a friend. Questing with another person makes the earlier levels way more tolerable.
Well maybe they should stop designing it this way. They want to keep making money, they’re going to need to evolve a new formula.
rares have never been time gated since ive started playing this is the first time ive seen it.
The content thats supposed to be farmable is the little reoccurong events that happen “all the time” that are marled by the little horns on the map, much like the one that marks where the researchers are. They literally spawn back to back and never stop giving rewards, including rep.
So what Im getting from this is… we realize the new area is pretty mid an unfun, however we noticee there was too much fun with rares so we dialed it back.
Why would catering to the smallest minority be a good idea to make money?
They were gated in SL so that is 100% false.

which were gated in shadowlands if its the maw no one went there in the first place
Nope. Solo players are the minority as backed by achievements being tracked.
Play the game how you want but realize you’re the minority.
Rares were also gated in ZM in patch 9.2.
Everyone was there for the unity legendary pattern.
Uh. Yeah. Because they have nothing else to do in the game. It’s M+ or raid because they wasted money pushing people out of a new zone. That’s the entire point of the thread. It’s not about solo players.
They have plenty of things to do in the game. They choose to limit their gameplay it’s no one’s fault but theirs.
